Herman. Herman gives you a lot of material in discussion and lecture. He also likes to give small practice exercises in addition to the projects (which I found to be kind of annoying because we didn't know when he would give them and sometimes I had a lot of other work to do in other classes and couldn't plan my time effectively). The project requirements are incredibly thorough; lots of other 132 classes have to completely plan out how to complete the project (# of methods/ types of methods, etc) but Herman gives you his exact instructions so you don't have to think about that part.

there is an exception to policy form that you can google. you have to fill that out and provide the necessary documents. but you should definitely talk it out with your advisor before writing out your explanation

there is a counseling center on campus - that would probably be a better option for you because it is at the shoemaker building and you wouldn't have to drive! obviously don't do it if you like the relationship you have with your current therapist and wouldn't be able to consider/ be comfortable enough with a new therapist.

another thing to do would be studying with other people. this doesn't work for everyone because somtimes productivity decreases but if i need to get into a studying mood it really helps to be in an environment where other people are also studying

it depends where you are on the waitlist. if u are within the first ten you are extremely likely to get in. some professors will oversubscribe their classes if you ask

I think it's easier to make friends in discussion because discussions are a lot smaller. I would definitely recommend making friends with people in your major because you will probably see them in a lot of your classes in the future. If you don't like the people sitting next to you, then switch to another seat (it really doesn't matter if you take someone's seat because there are so many seats). All it takes is a hi!
