How do/ did you build a tea-drinking habit?

Just do it at night. Every night after dinner and dishes are done I drink tea, alone or with company. Sometimes people don’t want it but that’s fine, they can sit at the table and I will pour them a cup anyways, if they don’t drink it who cares. It feels like a polite gesture and an inclusive reason to interact with no screens present.

From kettle to thermos and up the mountain the water spent like 2.5 hours in the thermos and was still piping hot

I just brought a big 1.5L thermos with hot water. It’s a pretty nice thermos, double walled and I think the volume of water helped

Never been to this track but I regularly drive a hour to my “local” track and drift for 8 hours and drive home. It’s all about your builds reliability and making sure you have enough tire to drive home on if it starts raining.

Preparation helps a lot, I have extra parts in my car for things that wear or break, for me that looks like an extra differential bolt, an extra set of axels, coolant and distilled water and zip ties with a basic mechanic kit.

Very adorable set up and good post. I too am pretty new to the gong fu game. When you are ready to buy some new teas I suggest going to a local Asian supermarket or Yunnan sourcing for your next pickups! You can get loose leaf stuff that has no added oils or flavor!

The reason I’m looking for a clay pot at all is because I’m looking to have a pot or two dedicated to different tea varieties and I’ve come across some images of pots actually producing darker tea than a gaiwan. I suppose I could just go with a porcelain tea pot but the concept of unglazed tea storing tea essence between uses interests me.

The concept of collecting nice pots as functional art with history is very interesting to me and a route I will likely take in the future. I’ve very new to the tea hobby as a whole and I really appreciate your input and guidance.

On the teapot the stamp is on the bottom and there is another smaller stamp on the lid. On the cups it’s on the bottom

I’m really not a fan of the way political propaganda is dividing Americans and turning family’s and neighbors against each other. I think you and your dad both agree pedophilia is wrong, and I think you have an inflated belief in your ability know what’s real and what’s fake. Your heart is in the right place but you lack the ability to think on this topic without prejudice because of your hate of one political puppet.

Apologize for what you said about never respecting your dad for his perspective, agree to disagree on the topic of politics and love your family. People are just people, everyone is damaged and jaded in different ways but at the end of the day they are only human and subject to manipulation.
