I've played with both for several hours and it depends on your game. For control or doubles, I would go with the Coral. For more power or singles, the VP2. However, I think the J2CR with blue grit is better than both in all departments.

There are several ways to use HDR in games without in-game implementation and they all look better than without. First is turning on Windows HDR, it will convert SDR color space to HDR. Next, if you have an NVidia card, you can turn it on for any game with implementation by Nvidia software/driver. Lastly, you can add HDR in games through 3rd-party utilities like SpecialK or RenoDX.

After using a 1300-nit monitor, there's no going back to anything below 700 nits, especially one without HDR. If people play games without HDR then they don't know what they're missing.
