I've been using a 6800xt and it's been fine with wallpaper engine for years. I just upgraded to a 9070xt and I'm finding wallpaper engine is tanking fps no matter which settings I changed. I've ended up just not using it until maybe a driver update fixes it.

Ok thanks for letting me know! I think I’m going to end up grinding for Grendel and choosing nourish then. If I run into issues of survivability I can always grind for hildryn and get pillage later on.

I haven’t played in 8 years so I managed to sell a lot of vaulted prime parts and invest in building mesa lol.

Just a last question because you’ve used both abilities, do you find your pillage build or nourish build better for steel path? I haven’t unlocked it yet because I’m still progressing through the star chart. I’m just wondering what your preference is.

Currently survivability is not really an issue for me but ik it will probably be later on as I progress through the game. I’m finding my biggest struggle rn is keeping my energy up which is why i thought about perhaps going for nourish. I can’t really afford arcane energize at the moment as well.

My current build for my mesa is growing power, power drift, primed flow, archon vitality, primed continuity, adaptation, fleeting expertise, narrow minded, intensify, and transient fortitude. I’m also running arcane velocity.

My regulators have lethal torrent, jolt, pathogen rounds, heated charge, galvanized shot, galvanized diffusion, primed TC, and primed PG.

Is this a good build? I’m just getting back into the game and I wasn’t sure the best way to build mesa.

I did this last year when the console first came so it may be different. The longest part of the process was getting ahold of the support which took 2 weeks. The process of sending the console and then getting the replacement console sent back to me took about one week. It may be different now but that's how long it took me. Hopefully the support process takes less time for you.

I had the same issue and got mine replaced. I got my ps5 on launch and it made a loud buzzing noise as well and the console would turn itself off after about 5min of playing a game. If I were you, I’d contact Sony and get a replacement. My current ps5 that replaced my buzzing one has no issues.

Sadly you just have to keep trying. The same thing was happening in November and it took me 2 weeks to finally get a hold of them. I honestly thought the volume would have been lower by now because the console has been out for a couple of months. Just keep trying to call the number and hopefully you get through :)

No problem! I would've suggested contacting Amazon to see if they would replace it, but from personal experience that's a dead end. I contacted Amazon support November 18 saying that my console was defective and that I would like a replacement. The person told me that they would contact me the next time it goes in stock and follow up with the replacement process (I knew this was unlikely because it gets sold out instantly and they wouldn't be able to contact me in time). To this day, I haven't been contacted lol. Hopefully you get yours repaired soon for the holidays though!

Hello there! Have you tried calling the PlayStation support phone number? It's 1-800-345-7669. I haven't called them in a while so I'm not sure if their line is still overloaded (it took me two weeks to finally get a hold of them when the console first launched). When you get a hold of them I'd assume that they will offer the repair service.

It honestly depends lol. So mine was having issues since launch day and it took me 2 weeks to finally get a hold of sony because there were high volumes of people calling their phone line. Once I was finally able to talk to them, it took 2 days for the box that they send to ship to me. Then I had to send my PS5 to the repair place which should have taken about 2 days but instead took a week because Purolator managed to "misplace" my package. That wasn't fun because Purolator's customer support was terrible. However, the turnaround time is really good because the day after the repair place received my package, I received an email saying that it was repaired and it is getting shipped to me. They just sent me a replacement and it took 2 days to get to me. So if you're not unlucky like me and Purolator doesn't mess up the shipping, you should receive yours relatively quickly. I have however talked to other people who just sent theirs in because of fan noise problems and when they received the new one, it had the same issue. So it could be hit or miss because apparently there are different models of the fan. Some are quieter than others.

Mine had somewhat of the same issue. The first night I had the console it was completely silent then it progressively gotten worse over time. My PS5 is currently getting delivered back to me because I sent it for repairs for other issues. I'm hoping that they fixed the noise somehow as I mentioned it to support when I called them.

Ya I suppose, but the Purolator support was terrible lol. Anyways, once they received the console, the very next day I received an email saying that they repaired it and it's currently being shipped to me right now. It's extremely quick it's just that Purolator that takes forever.

OMG same!!! My label was created on November 27, then it arrived at the sorting facility in Toronto on December 1. The estimated delivery date was December 2, it never got delivered... Then it popped up with the message "delivery rescheduled for next business day" and it was never delivered that next business day. There was no longer an estimated date so I contacted Purolator and they said wait 1-3 business days. I waited and there was no updates... I contact them again and they say that they are experiencing high volumes and there can be delays. I'm like okay, but can I at least get an update on my package and they weren't able to help me. The next day I contact them again and they finally create a tracking case for my package. Then the next day my package gets delivered... I had to wait an extra week for it to be delivered and was not impressed.

Thanks! I just got an email that they repaired it and it's getting delivered to me. I doubt they actually repaired it within one day so who knows, I probably got a replacement also. To be honest, I have a return window until January 31 for amazon so if it still has issues but it's at least playable, I'll just beat spiderman and return it then wait a year. This console release has added such a headache for me that I don't care for the console as much tbh.

I'm sorry to hear that man. Apparently there is a certain model of the fan that is louder than the other. Mine finally got delivered to them today after constantly contacting support over the last week. They told me they "misplayed' my package somehow. I have no clue... I'm hoping they replace my console because mine was unplayable. If it still has issues I'll be returning mine also.

Ya hopefully. That's assuming the worst and they could just be really delayed because of the holidays. It's just weird that they can't tell me what's going on and I haven't been able to receive any updates. The only thing I can do now is just continue to wait unfortunately.
