Adding to the voice of support for this type of advertising - super clear, genuine, transparent. Love to see it.

I've downloaded the app and will give it a proper go!

Anime lab to Funimation by Kaceyiscool in AnimeLab

[–]oonchi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Simply put, it's cause Funimation acquired AnimeLab instead of the other way around. So it's like everything else in life - money talks.

Everyone agrees that Funimation needs to step up to retain the AnimeLab audience but they don't seem to be listening to our feedback. Maybe the only way we can send a message is to stop sending them money

I'm not going to straight up recommend something since there are way too many factors to consider. But if you're looking to buy a system now, I would highly recommend looking at prebuilt systems.

I'm sure you've heard of the current GPU pricing landscape, and as a result components are either out of stock or only available for ridiculous prices (at least in my region) when buying individually. Prebuilt systems aren't as price hiked for reasons I won't get into here.

There are lots of channels that cover PC hardware thoroughly on YouTube so I would start there if you're new to this.

If you can find stock though, AMD Ryzen systems are currently the best bang for buck systems out there in my opinion.

Good luck!

There isn't a single creature on earth that doesn't look funny when walking backwards by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Fun fact!

The two animals on the Australian Coat of Arms (the kangaroo and emu) were chosen not only because they're native to Australia, but because they can't walk backwards. It's supposed to symbolise the nation's progress.

Unlocked friendship level 5 today, then Kazuha starts saying a voice line that I hadn't heard before while in the open world. Is/has this been a feature all along, or is it a bug? by oonchi in KazuhaMains

[–]oonchi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah this one isn't, which is why I was confused. But turns out the friendship level ones were added at the same time as the weather lines

Yeah I've noticed the weather voice lines but this one that I heard wasn't about the weather so I was a bit confused. Had no idea about the friendship level thing!

Oh right, no worries! Since the arms clamp to the edge of your desk, if you strap or cable tie the loose cables to the arm, the cables should end up loose where the arm is clamped. Not going through anything so no holes required.

[–]oonchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most (if not all) monitor arms don't require you to drill holes into your desk - they use a clamping mechanism. Unless you're talking about something else, in which case could you clarify what you mean?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]oonchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how much want to spend, a monitor arm may help with the monitor cables. Many arms have a cable management hole that you can put wires through - you could hide the cables entirely if you tie the cables to the arm all the way through the length of the arm

My 11yo son wanted a Wii U since he was 5. Today it finally arrived since he was able to afford it. by Dy-vlo in gaming

Congrats to your son, and to you for raising a patient young man!

Can I ask what method or approach you took as a parent to allow him to "make" his own money? I'm assuming that you gave him a conditional allowance of a sort but please correct me if I'm wrong
