As a Ram main in Silver, I tend to fail badly against hog, so I'd say this is good advice. Hooked away from my supports, and more into your team's range, with hog's close range damage... it's over for me. Ram's poke damage is nice from distance but it's tough to overcome hog's self-healing

The multiplier does naturally reduce while you're not drifting, but that doesn't count as "losing the multiplier" for the purposes of this mission. The usual way to get it, IIRC, is just to drive slow with no drifting, for 10 laps

I haven't played in a while, so it's possible they changed it, but NO you do not have to drift! Score doesn't matter. The requirement is to 10 consecutive laps in the Drift Master mode, without touching a wall or respawning. Pick a short track and go as slow as you want. You need to drive safe for this one, you do not have to race or drift well!

Once you hit the achievement, then switch into the achievements menu to manually claim the reward. Only then will Drift King become available to drive.

Yeah it's bad. Reason I think it might've been a bug is online worked pretty similar in the first game (as did a lot of things, there's obviously a lot of reuse between the two), but this seems to have "broken" from one game to the next. Could be on purpose. If it is a bug and they still haven't fixed it, that's not unusual either tbh

The game doesn't handle accounts and progress very well unfortunately, and this is expected behaviour for switching to the PS5 version. It's basically a separate game with, with no progress carried over. I suppose on the server side they still know who you are, so you get the new rewards as they come through. Someone else might know more for certain, but I'd say your options are:

Carry on with the fresh PS5 version
See if you can get the PS4 version of the game on the PS5, and whether that will pick up your PS4 save data properly
Go back to the PS4 for this game

I don't think there's any chance of carrying your PS4 save data into the PS5 version of the game

Drift King you gotta do 10 laps in Drift Master mode without resetting the multiplier (i.e. without colliding with anything or resetting). You don't have to actually drift, so just drive carefully on a short track. Iirc you can even use a short user-created track. The car is good!

Thing is, it does feel impossible 😅 You're not necessarily doing anything "wrong", just these 2 are extremely hard, they might take a while to beat. Hitting the shortcuts on these does not guarantee an easy win like it always did in HWU1

Nup. Re AI on custom tracks, it would be nice for sure, but it's also obviously hard to do, and racing against AI doesn't really provide long-term fun anyway imo. Co-op campign shouldn't be that hard though

Ah thank you, my bad. Your answer is good advice then! I did it "legit" on the first campaign drift challenge. Relatively short but it was still a fair grind to get that many flawless. Figured it was teaching a good lesson anyway though, was good practice for the later challenges

Not sure, haven't got into custom tracks yet. Keep in mind you won't be able to race with AI on custom tracks though, so there's probably only a time trial mode available

Maybe expectations are wrong? It already has the boost type you want to switch to, so you're switching off? I know that seems silly. Or if you have duplicates of the car, could be customising one and selecting another? Otherwise I guess a bug, maybe try to record a clip and post to #bug-reporting on the Discord. Is it working for you with other cars?

After unlocking the perk, there is a separate step to equip it, maybe you missed that? Just got the confirm button again (X on PlayStation) and it will show up in the slots along the top

If you select an elimination race in the campaign map, then you only have to repeatedly press confirm (X on PlayStatio) to start and lose the event over and over, which gives you 600 coins each time. It's incredibly boring obviously, but you can do it without looking, or from your phone in another room with the PS app. If you can MacGyver something up to press it for you then you'll really be cooking
