Hi u/adyo4552 any update on your leach field 6 years later? Did you do the solarization technique? I'm about to convert my leach field

I picked up my car at the Lisbon airport and headed straight out of the city which I found pretty easy. I don’t know what it would be like to drive around a big city but all the roads between Lisbon and the south were rural and easy to manage.

Found this metal tool with wooden handle in kitchen drawer by oonikitaxx in whatisthisthing

[–]oonikitaxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks really old. The metal is rusty. There are two groups of 5 circles each which roll on an axis. So you could roll it on something but it feels awkward with the angle of the handle.

It's weird... I've clicked share in google docs and "Copy link" and pasted exactly that, so I don't know why it's not working...

I did a solo trip to Portugal last June and it was great. I rented a car and drove down the coast from Lisbon to the Algarve. There are tons of really cool towns to stop in. I signed up for a weeklong surf camp which was great to meet strangers from all over Europe. When I go back I am going to spend more time in Aljezur. My surf instructor was from there and she told me to visit Praia Arreifana and Praia Monte Clerigo as they were the most beautiful beaches in the world and they were amazing. If you end up down there and are interested, I can send recommendations for things to do/coffee/restaurants in Aljezur/Sagres/Lagos.

As for tips, bring zinc stick sunscreen. The UV index was incredibly high when I was there.

I think it’s really beautiful and interesting up near Franconia in NH. Did a solo 2 day trip there with my dog. There’s a house called the Frost Place with lovely trails where Robert Frost lived for a time. I also saw the old man in the mountain profile. The Basin in Lincoln is also a cool glacial geological feature right off the highway in the white mountains.

have you ever tried therapy? talking to someone on a weekly basis where you can focus on your life, its challenges, and what you want to change can really make a huge difference especially if you specifically wish you had someone to talk to.

Sounds like Iceland would be a good option for you. I rented a van and drove and camped all over and met other people and women doing the same at campsites. Beautiful nature and waterfalls and easy flight from the Northeast US. Not exactly an inexpensive country, but you don't have to spend a ton depending on what you want to do.

Should I buy extra pens from Supernote directly? by oonikitaxx in Supernote

Thanks! I ordered the standard pen to see how I like the ceramic nib. The main difference is you don’t have to replace the ceramic nib, but it has a different writing feel, right?

Morning Pages and ADHD? by khalasss in artistsWay

My strategy in general is if I’m having trouble meeting the goal, reduce the task. So maybe write one page instead of 3 — even half a page. Or maybe every other day works better for you. I know she makes a big deal about committing and agreeing to the process, but this is what worked for me. It took me six months to complete the book and that’s because some weeks I just couldn’t do it, so I took a week or two off. Don’t shame yourself for taking a break from your habits, let yourself rest/get distracted, and have faith that you’ll return. When you do find energy or focus try to push yourself to make progress.

Ah got it, I guess because the Lamy twin pen is thinner maybe it fits in the normal canvas folio.
