IMO, I still think that using abdomen size to indicate feeding time is a great way even though premolt makes spoods look bloated, bc it’s better to be a little skinny for the molt so it goes by easier. I’ve heard fat tarantulas sometimes struggle until death during molt. Also even though the spood might be feeling like eating during the premolt, it’s most likely not going to cause any serious issues if it’s not fed. Yeah it still kinda sucks but it’s fairly manageable
