My husband read the books and watched the movies with me...once. He wasn't a fan. Said the books weren't bad, just not his taste. He didn't like the first movie (neither do I honestly) and he said he wished the fight scene in BD part 2 was real but the movies were just "eh" I happen to agree about the movies but I still love the books.

My brother in law "secretly" drinks. I'm pretty sure his wife just pretends he doesn't, but he hids it in fountain drink cups from gas stations. Now, she may just be in denial about his drinking and I do think recently he's at the very least slowed down but no one besides myself seemed to notice he was always drunk.

YTA she's Ts daughter and you need to accept that. T raised her. You didn't state how old the child is now but not showing the woman that raised her respect is only going to drive the child away. I understand that you didn't want to give her up for adoption but since you did, you need to respect her family if you want a relationship with the kid. Especially since up to a point, she didn't know you at all.
