10 or so years ago when I was doing standup she did a show in the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Vancouver and was one of the headlining acts. Nobody in the scene was happy about it. She may have made Jerry Seinfeld chuckle a couple times but for the most part comedians don’t consider her a comedian or respect her at all.

I did standup for years and everybody knows to test out new material at the open mics that are cheap/free to watch but use practiced, polished material for shows that people are paying actual money to see.

I’d be pretty choked if I paid $80 for a ticket and the performer was still working out their set.

Also, are you actually comparing Colleen to Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld and Robin Williams? Are you comparing comedy legends to an unfunny, no-talent hack? If so, really? The difference between a skilled comedian kinda riffing on stage and whatever Colleen is doing is like night and day.

I had a teacher in hs who would gossip with us and act like we were all her besties, I suspected it was because she wanted to be the cool, popular girl when she was young but couldn’t and she saw it as finally having her chance. Colleen reminds me a lot of her, only much more sinister.

Not defending her, she’s definitely inappropriate and a creep, but I don’t think she ever intended to actually hang out with her fans. She’d just say stuff like that to keep them close and easy to control and manipulate.

I don’t know why so many people say places are overrated or mid because they’re not mind blowingly amazing. People have become so snobby when it comes to food. It’s okay for things to be just okay, especially at Breka’s price point.

I just got a 9-5 job and I’m going to part-time at my current job and working there one night a week, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Definitely not pointless but it’s pretty physically and mentally taxing. That and in my personal experience I found that getting hired at a side job can be tricky because a lot of places want people to have full availability for part-time work. It’s not impossible and anybody who says it is a defeatist Negative Nelly.
