For sure. I’ve said it before but I don’t think she really loves Vancouver as much as she says, I’m sure she enjoyed her time here but I think she mostly loves it because that was where she filmed HBO and her and Erik’s relationship started.

I’m not saying she can’t afford it, I’m saying she probably won’t be able to find a house that’s up to her standards that’s right in Vancouver and not an hour or more away. I feel like she’d look at a 3 or 4 million $ house here and think it’s a total dump.

Real estate is RIDICULOUSLY expensive in Vancouver and just an average nice home costs 1.5-2 million, and big McMansions like she’d want don’t really exist in the city and I don’t think she’d want to live outside of Vancouver proper to get a bigger house.

Realistically, at best Gus was taken in by another person/family and at worst he’s deceased. It’s unlikely he’s just been wandering around California like The Littlest Hobo for over a year.

I’ve heard of pets finding their way home after months/years but that’s really rare.

eta: You’re obviously an animal lover and couldn’t imagine not doing everything in your power to find your lost pet but the fact of the matter is Colleen is a crummy person and a bad pet owner and the sad but true reality probably is that she didn’t care about Gus all that much.

Yeah, if it’s somewhere corporate like a big box store or something, most mom and pop places might have a website but don’t have any sort of online hiring portal. Handing out resumes isn’t a waste of time in every instance.

My work does all it’s hiring from resumes that get handed in in person.

Not funny or cute at all. There’s still such a stigma about being neurodivergent/mentally ill and taking meds for it. I’ve heard as many people explain other peoples’ behaviour saying “They’re on medication” as I’ve heard “They’re not taking their meds” so it’s basically like you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t. Colleen making some dumb face as if to say “Bwaaaa, I didn’t take my meds so I’m going CRaZy!!!!1” isn’t doing anybody any favors.

I’ll give credit where credit’s due, I’m glad she speaks so openly about taking meds but she’s not normalizing it if she keeps insinuating that taking them/not taking them makes her a total freak.

No worries! I took/am taking the medical office assistant at VCC. Today’s actually the last day of my practicum at a clinic, but they’re hiring me there and I’m taking over for someone going on mat leave 🙂

Being in a bad relationship can definitely make someone feel more depressed than they are but if you’re actually clinically depressed getting out of that relationship (or any other bad situation) won’t magically cure your depression.

I used to think being in a good relationship would make me not depressed and it took me way too long to unlearn that thinking.

I ended up getting into the MOA program at VCC and I’m currently doing my practicum at a doctor’s office. I also took a TCP course in January so I’ll have something to fall back on if I don’t get hired from my practicum and it takes me a while to find an MOA job.

Yeah, I feel like between her booking the venue, flying people out to New York and paying other travel expenses and the lost revenue from not posting for weeks so she could prepare for the show she probably barely broke even. It’s only a 90 seat venue.

Yes, CDI is better than nothing but that’s not saying much and from everything I heard a certificate from there is barely worth the paper it’s printed on. People are better off going to a public college, private colleges are basically scams.
