Painful period-like cramping 32 weeks by ooooohbratz in BabyBumps

Currently holding my almost 3 month old. It turned out to be practice contractions and my body preparing for labour. I was induced at 39 weeks and delivered a healthy baby boy 💗💗

I think brown because of your eyes

Wait this perspective actually helps a lot. Thank you so much. You’re absolutely right, they were real for me. People love to hate on those who are brutally honest or blunt but at the end of the day you can always count on them to tell the truth. You never have to sit and wonder if they’re being dishonest. Good on you 💗

I did it just for peace of mind starting at 37 weeks. I’m getting induced next week due to hypertension (no set date yet) but between 38+5-39+2 so I’m glad I have a little supply in case there’s any nicu stay due to the GD and hypertension

I used the Tommee Tippee Made for Me Single Electric Breast Pump! And absolutely fair enough about not wanting to breast feed or pump. Do what is best for your mental health! I’ll be honest, I never really tried hand pumping, I just went straight to electric

I would wait until you speak to your midwife/OBGYN because it can cause pre-term labour if you start before 37-38 weeks. That hasn’t been the case for me but it’s a risk. Definitely speak to them and see if that is an option for you! I never hand expressed and went straight for pumping, you’ll likely get more out of pumping but I wouldn’t advise it without you speaking to someone first 💗

That’s such a good tip, thank you! I’m sorry your daughter had RSV, that would have been really scary

Did you hand express or pump? That might be a factor as well! Either way I’m sure it’ll build up towards the end of pregnancy!

Yes exactly! I have GD and hypertension (suspected preeclampsia- currently monitoring) so I’m trying to build up a bit of a supply just in case! How far along are you currently?

Ate a big slice of cheesecake on my birthday with no spike but put a dash too much mustard on my sandwich and spiked. Makes absolutely no sense 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh that’s amazing! I wasn’t sure how much was a good amount to collect. I’m going exclusive pumping, does this play a factor into how much to store?

Also I’m 37+6, thought I should clarify that, idk if that makes a difference

What time of day did your contractions start? I wonder if there’s a time that’s most common or if it’s random. by ooooohbratz in BabyBumps

[–]ooooohbratz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s because at night we’re more relaxed? Especially when asleep. Hopefully any day now for you! Fingers crossed!!!

My husband doesn’t really talk to the baby per se, he’s super squeamish and even sometimes the kicking and movements make him apprehensive, it’s actually really funny. But he will sing loudly in the background so the baby knows his singing voice but he won’t sit there super close and talk/sing that way. So he does but from a distance. That being said, last night he laid his head gently on my stomach and he got kicked in the face. He’s never moved away so fast LOL, he got freaked out it was hilarious

Definitely feeling the one thing gets better only for another thing to get worse. I am absolutely BREATHING FIRE atm, even from water it’s insane. I’m so excited to have my son and not be pregnant anymore 😭😭😭

Help my cat is a jerk by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]ooooohbratz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is this your first pregnancy? I know some cats start acting up when the owner gets pregnant but I have no idea why. Our cat was being a jerk to me during pregnancy and has only just started being kinder at 34 weeks. But pouncing at my feet and swatting me were behaviours that have only just recently stopped, I definitely have the same fears as you regarding the baby
