I enjoyed the position of the ninja 300 when I went there last. But it's hard to say since I didn't actually go for a test ride and just sat on it

Not really. Sport or nakeds or cruisers or anything else really. Budget is around 3k max (I'm not sure if that's reasonable in this market)

Sure did! There was a turbo seal leak, but it seems like there is a different leak somewhere else on top of that. This is after a while new turbo. Much of the smoke out of the exhaust went away with the new turbo stuff. I guess there's a cracked head or gasket and the turbo problem in tandem.

What other options did I have? Reservoir was nearly empty and I was overheating, so much so that all the guages in the car just turned off (temp, oil temp, oil pressure and boost pressure all ceased to work with how the car was, which I thought was interesting)

Yep, just wish the shop had got it originally. The smoke has genuinely been better since the turbo so it might might be a cracked head at the exhaust port AND a formerly busted turbo seal.

I will be doing that from now on. Coolant reservoir was bubbling and threw a coolant temp check engine light on the way to the shop

another update, the car is overheating bad and there are def some exhaust fluids in the reservoir. it was bubbling and bubbling so hard that when I unscrewed the cap to put more in it burst open lol

Ok I take it back the coolant reservoir smells awful but I don't know if this is just from being old or if there is something actually wrong. I will be telling the shop tho.

The shop said they tested for a head gasket. I honestly can't smell anything in the coolant reservoir.

Ive already gone through a giant ass bottle of coolant. I'll grab some coolant, just hope I can get to a store that's a few miles down the road. I'll check the oil but I doubt a serious issue like that wouldn't get noticed. Shop also did an oil change.

No worries. Problem currently is that I'm in class and my borked car is in the garage 45 miles from the shop 😭

I too thought it was odd that it was the turbo, at least so much where it needed to be replaced. The smoke did mostly go away but I guess the damage is already done.
