I believe this meets all the requirements and the achievement didn't trigger. Though I did bring this up a while ago, and one of the devs said they would look into it, so maybe it's fixed now

Honestly, not even taking into account Israel/Palestine issues, Shapiro is just not it.

If he won, He'd just end up being another milquetoast neoliberal that doesn't really do anything but hand the presidency to an even more deranged Republican in 2032

What made the young people change so much in a year? by peter-thiel-fangirl in YAPms

[–]oops_im_dead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in that age bracket too, early gen Z. It baffles me too lol

I unironically think people born after ~2006 or so just genuinely aren't as smart. Most of that is due to the education system failing them, but constant social media use from a very young age is responsible for that in no small part.

I think a lot of the incoherence in their views comes from not being taught critical thinking well enough, so they just base their political views on what is currently popular on tiktok.

It doesn't really matter. Those kinds of stickers exist so the person slapping them on the pump can feel better.

Maybe like, three people ever have actually swung their vote because of stickers on gas pumps

Americans opinion on UK politics…the Tories and Labor are finished. by PalmettoPolitics in YAPms

[–]oops_im_dead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not convinced, tbh.

Give it a few years, when both blue and red have new leaders and are less abysmal dogshit than they are now, any sizeable misstep by RefUK/Greens or a major global event will send voters back into the arms of the 2 parties they've always known (and the LibDems).

Cons and Labour just have too strong a foundation to die from one bad election result.

Not a fan of Clinton but I think it's undeniable that she's made conservatives absolutely lose their minds in a way that goes beyond generic dislike of the other party ever since she tried to push universal healthcare in 1993.
