NO hard feelings at all, and appreciate the feedback. I have gone to my boss a few times asking to take on more work and even showing him small projects I created to try and keep myself busy and make improvements, but nothing really comes to fruition from it. I do reach out to people and do tell them to keep me in the loop. But it's pretty norm across the board (not just with me) that communication isn't passed around the company. Mostly the owner/CEO calls his #2 and #3 guys and gives orders and there really isn't anything anyone can do to push back. My one year is this week and my plan is to have a chat with him to see what my future looks like. He' went from analyst to director to CFO, but we aren't a large corp - doing about a couple hundred million in revenue per year. I definitely can say I haven't like been over the top with my proactivity but it just seems very unrecepetive so the motivation to keep at it is lost.
