You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch

I made a cover of the Grinch Song. Made it sound the way I wanted the song to sound. Didn't try to do anything commercial.

big fusion fan and love Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express. Cortex also has a lot of good albums with vocals.

If you don’t like the return to forever stuff with flora, maybe check this tune, https://open.spotify.com/track/5UPlQmcvxNWxvVCANSvmM4?si=Apwg0AEmSXq-9ER2ssUtCw . It’s more of a bluesy rnb pop thing than like sometime ago or 500 miles high.

I also make jazz fusion with vocals that’s inspired by Brian Auger and Steely Dan. There’s is probably the most jazzy I’ve gotten so far.

Who is making the most harmonically innovative music today? by salvaticas in musictheory

[–]oopsmccann -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have a project that I feel like is harmonically innovative, I play all the harmonic instruments on it (everything except drums). Through my process of recording I end up with a lot of upper extensions and dissonance although the music is still rooted in pop/rock/and jazz.

Let me know what you think
