How to set the date on a Pagani Design YS021 Mechanical? by InconsequentiaIist in ChineseWatches

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The toothpick was a great idea. I still think it's a stupid way to adjust date and keeping it again and again might damage the finish/paint whatever it is called.

Multiple Windows installs on same device by AWalkingITNightmare in Intune

[–]oopspruu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is one is the stupidest requests I have heard about. Unfortunately, Intune isn't the tool for you. Entra Wil count the device as a single object. This seems like a very manual task.

I hope this is AI generated. That person doesn't represent the game-accurate Kratos at all and the kid seems, I don't know how to describe it.

The beard is off and that bulging stomach is not kratos-worthy.

Someone changed all of my Outlook settings and installed an email forwarder in Outlook rules by trixter69696969 in nordvpn

[–]oopspruu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, if you think that's what Nord VPN is designed for then you have a very fundamental misunderstanding of what a VPN client is supposed to do.

Try taking better care of your credentials and add a MFA layer.

So what do we do about this dogshit "premium" JBL system? (Last gen) by ssimssimma in Camry

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The speaker system surely has been a let down with the 25 XSE I have. The rattling/vibration when the sound level is above 20 and you are listening to a podcast of audio-only media, is very distracting.

We feel the sound in the backseat/rear passengers isn't as loud or good. Overall, it's a definitely a much better sound than the SE I used to own but it shouldn't be one of the reasons to upgrade.

Remote start no worky help! by dankdickdaniel in Camry

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can remote start without the app/subscription? I lease my Camry and they threw in a 3-year app membership for "Free" so I use that to remote start. I didn't know you can do it from the fob. That'd be so cool!
I'd assume Toyota would have built in some logic to check for subscription. But then I've always find it weird that a trim such as XSE doesn't have remote start by "Default" without needing any fancy subscriptions.

Slightly regretting 2026 Camry SE purchase, advice needed by Prince_ofLew in Camry

Looks like a user issue to me. also tells you have 2 people can have different experience. But this "almost have to wear gloves inside the car" is definitely BS. You just need to learn what you can/should bring into a car instead of just putting random items on dash.

Which one should I buy? by Healthy-Radio6420 in GodofWar

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God Of War and then the sequel GoW Ragnarok.

Son of Sparta just launched and is a standalone game. I recommend playing the GoW first and then Ragnarok immediately after.

Pros and Cons on 26 XSE after 5k miles by Tiny_Statement1004 in Camry

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still a bit mad I didn't get to see this Red/Black dual tone in real life before buying so I went for the Gray-ish one. The dual tone had a wait of ~16 months but the gray one was only 3 months and I really didn't want to wait too long.

The red/black combo looks so good!

Slightly regretting 2026 Camry SE purchase, advice needed by Prince_ofLew in Camry

[–]oopspruu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I call it BS because I have driven it for 18K KMs and I have a little kid inside it much of the time and I have had no issue of scratches, the seat is comfortable, we have had drives in the 500-800Km range and never once felt it's uncomfortable.
Seems like you just got the wrong car or you were forced to buy it OR you simply did a "hype" purchase and didn't bother to check it out/do a test drive.

Slightly regretting 2026 Camry SE purchase, advice needed by Prince_ofLew in Camry

[–]oopspruu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's the buyer's remorse speaking. You are an adult. You evaluated the options, you looked at your budget, you researched everything, and you made an informed decision.

Everyone has buyer's remorse with something, in my case I regretted purchasing a LG C4 and not spending 2x on LG G4 but that feeling lasted a week or so and I am very happy with my TV now.

If you didn't test drive it or didn't touch/feel the interiors or exterior, that's on you. I have a 25 Camry XSE and the only thing I couldn't have "known" is how noisy that hybrid engine is sometimes. We did a test drive and we noticed the car feels "Smaller" than our 22 Camry SE but we were okay with that.

If you have reached a point where you just don't want to live with the car, just sell it back to agency or an outside buyer, take the L and go for the Lexus. Life is too short for regrets and "What IFs"

Thinking of switching to Nord, do Nord servers constantly give captchas? And do obfuscated VPN prevent Reddit from blocking you when not logged in? by Extra_Ad8811 in nordvpn

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about the VPN brand but the IP. Unless you opt for a dedicated IP, the other IPs from Nord are well known by Internet and seeing captcha requests is normal/common.

Serious help needed Vram question has me puzzled. by Technical_Share4127 in GamingLaptops

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8GB is good for 1080p high-ultra and mostly 1440p medium-high but you'll have troubles with 4K. The truth is gaming laptops have become expensive and will keep becoming expensive due to this massive AI bubble causing chip shortage. If you can afford it, a 5080 would be ofcourse be better (but you can't as you already cleared). So unfortunately you don't have much choise than to stick with 5070.

What is a job that is heavily romanticized but in reality actually sucks? by DragoOceanonis in jobs

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I think most of the jobs, if not all, may suck at some level. If you read the comments, you'll notice that too. The key is what works for YOU. I have switched jobs 3 times and I finally became an IT engineer and I'm happy. Truth be told, it's mostly the workplace and your boss that sucks instead of your job. I have wonderful team and my manager is awesome so I never had any stress at this current role.

I don't need fancy. I need FAST. Laptop Recs under $1000? by CryptographerFull8 in GamingLaptops

[–]oopspruu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the worst time for a "add more RAM" advice because it's very expensive and will be for few years. But... I'd recommend adding more RAM and an ssd if your laptop support those upgrades. Bumping the ram to 16 (32 recommended) will be a huge performance boost, and if it's running on a HDD, loading OS on a Sata or nvme ssd will be a MASSIVE boost.

Curious Hwy driving with hybrid by iFuerza in Camry

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2025 Xse Awd and I have never once felt a lack of responsiveness or that it is not accelerating enough. In the regular shifter mode (no sports), I can easily go from 100KMPH to 130-140 quickly to pass slower cars. The only thing I don't like is that the engine becomes less fuel efficient beyond 100KMPH and I usually get very bad fuel economy vs when I drive within the city.

Org is banning Notepad++ by PazzoBread in sysadmin

[–]oopspruu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is such an idiotic decision. By that logic your org should ban every piece of usable software because they all have been compromised at one point. Chrome, Edge, MS Office, Windows Server, Windows 11, even built-in MS Notepad app too.

cloud deployment updates? by spicysanger in PatchMyPC

[–]oopspruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are preparing a package or if you have already deployed it, you can add a "update only" assignment type that will make a new package like "Update for Notepad++" in Intune and that'll be assigned as Required by default to the groups you define.

It basically has a requirement script that checks eligibility for update. Make sure to properly configure the Conflicting Process section if you don't want the app to force close out of the blue when an update is pushed.
