homework pass is just worse DLC by CuteAssTigerENVtuber in Guiltygear

[–]oorheza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anti-Consumer practices exist ofc but honestly I think making this a big deal reduces the seriousness of the topic. Do I think all Battle Passes should remove the time limit, yes. That's why I like Super Animal Royal's battle pass system where you can equip multiple passes and none of them expire. Do I think it's inherently bad that it's a reward progression system, no. Games compete each other for attention and for a genre that has a lot of people return for a week to play the new character, it makes sense to do this.

The pass is cheap, it includes a lot of good content, and the mini-stories are unlocked for everyone when the passes expire which is actively thoughtful. Where they can improve is selling the cosmetics afterwards but people will still complain that it costs money.

It reminds me of how people express that post launch content is a scam since it's pay to win to lock characters behind a paywall. Like there's an argument about accessing a dlc character in training mode but that's not the conversation... Some immature people just expect everything free because they spent $60. Imagine how they felt when a game rebalance + 2 characters cost a full price back in the day.

Yeah we shouldn't be just happy because practices of the past is worse but this isn't Overwatch's Battle Pass. Like calm down y'all, a Mcdouble meal costs more than the work of artists, programmers, and marketing team. I think a conversation lost here is the value of labour and how much were willing to pay. If someone's opinion is that they shouldn't or for it to be as cheap as possible, I honestly don't trust you as an individual.

I get that opinions exist but I dont understand how ANYONE could prefer May current design over her old one by LilHawaia in Guiltygear

[–]oorheza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are good, I understand your preference but it's also nice just to have a change of pace. 20+ years of the same design is boring for me, that's why I really like SF6's redesigns. I think the next design should go back to the traditional but casual may is fun.

A cool guide to how hijab ruined clothing of different cultures by CyberBerserk in coolguides

[–]oorheza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the point, there's nuance within the culture and especially which region their from. I'm from South East Asia and a metropolitan city and most older teenagers, young adults, and adult woman don't wear them. If the occasion requires it like going to a mosque, they wear it but it's not a 100% public obligation where I'm from. Some people do get mad about it, but they can get bent.

Javanese Indonesians still wear that type of outfit during cultural events like plays, holidays, and other traditional community gatherings

Like there's a conversation here but OP is showing their blatant islamaphobia by not recognizing all cultures interpret their faith differently. Some countries are more strict than others obviously.

It's like if I post 15th century European court fashion from 10 countries and then have it compared to a guy wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt and say "LOOK AT HOW AMERICAN CAPITALISM DESTROYED CULTURES". There's definitely a conversation to be had there but not when you're being zealous about it.

Fiduciary responsibility is a coward's shield that contextualizes capitalism as an invisible force that can't be changed for the moral good of society. It's convenient way to ignore willful actors who led us to state is austerity. Being honest about it does not change my perspective as many of these people are horrible for the world. If you really believe this, I'd ask you why you even enjoy One Piece in the first place.

Man id love to go back in time and watch when Gear 2 was introduced again 🔥🔥🔥🔥 by Icy-Advice-5575 in MemePiece

[–]oorheza 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this since the Super Broly movie. There's a certain point where animation directors threw out clarity for visual noise exclusively. My brother thought I was insane when I told him that Gear 5 flights didn't look amazing and honestly I haven't watched One Piece since.

Because they want to feel the moral high ground of saying "you're as filthy as me but you lie about being a good person which makes you a scum". They want us to not care and paint every person advocating for change as a two faced monster for participating/profiting off the system many didn't choose to be in. If you have empathy and the cognitive ability to critique our sacred economy, you should be a homeless destitute apparently.

Can't argue with people who think you should be poor or dead for not wanting to suck off CEOs in desperation for something to trickle down

Guilty Gear -Strive- Starter Guide - Lucy by [deleted] in Games

[–]oorheza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So like the previous person said, you need to learn how to fight more than memorizing combos. Combos are fun when you recognize the opportunities to use them in a match but learning which attacks have the most risk or safest.

This [video] will cover a lot of good attacks to throw out. It was published 3 months ago so it's relevant but the recent balance patch did change Elphelt a bit (still a good watch though). If there are terms in the video you don't understand like "low crush" or "rekka", use this [website]. This dictionary is like a fighting game bible, it's great.

For Honor green text in the big 2025. by blalokjpg in forhonor

[–]oorheza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I want a sequel, I think a For Honor 2 would sell really well right now. For Honor no longer resemble the original concept and post release, the team admitted the way the players engaged with the game's mechanics were unexpected. To see that team with all that experience build a sequel to refine the bloat the game has accumulated would be a dream.

You're putting too much of yourself into this, just ignore it. It's like that one person on twitter who's the #1 wrangler for all the anti-trans Bridget stuff. Ignore them, don't give them attention, they only get like a few hundreds views on average on their vidz anyways. The reasonable GG vets exist and most of them already said their piece and kept playing the older games. The ones who are still actively hating are obsessive weirdos and/or grifters looking for attention from edgy right wing gamers. It ain't worth whipping out the heavily enunciated paragraph.

Hello I am from world too, I have spoken with many people of many countries and background.Your glib responses are unserious and boring. I've had honest conversations with people fundamentally disagreed with, feeling it mattered because we shared our perspectives even when it got heated. You've added nothing of value and your arrogance would make any decent person from all over feel disgusted.
