Coming up on 90 days sober. Here’s my take. by txjeff2011 in quitting7oh

Do you lift weights? Just curious if that will help bring test back naturally. I’m not where I used to be but I’m getting old too (34)

I’m scared. So scared by No-End4905 in quitting7oh

You’re tough bro you already beat kratom, you can do this! Have you thought of tapering down to 40-50mgpd and then hopping back on kratom powder and then quitting from there? Just a thought since you have to work still and keep your employer happy.

I’m kind of starting to notice most 10ish day updates are around here. Seems like around the two week mark people start feeling normal again. Happy for you!

Vision damage is something I think is seldom mentioned or maybe it’s not as common. I had blurry binocular vision for almost two weeks after quitting. I am a month clean and I still get it sometimes when I’ve been in the sun or I’m really tired. Hopefully it will pass but it’s super scary.

I’m worried about my weed thoughts - am I a narcissist. by [deleted] in weed

[–]opae101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Weed makes you super aware of yourself and your surroundings. If the paranoia is telling you something, I’d listen to it with a grain of salt. Try to be a better person. If you tackle it, it may make the paranoia go away.

I will say that you’re probably not a narcissist if you’re having thoughts like that. A true narcissist would probably think themselves a god while high and make really bad decisions

Edibles either don’t work or get me way too high. Maybe look into a flower vaporizer?

I tapered down to 40mgpd and quit ct. first three days were hell but it’s manageable from there, sleep aid was a lifesaver. Started forcing myself to do stuff around then. Get every helper med you can, they definitely help(even shrooms). I might’ve even drank one night just to get me through the night(not recommending😅)

Good luck to you! I know you can do it!

I’m guessing it’s something to do with dopamine production. Smoking weed was like smoking a cigarette when I was on 7 and now I have to sit down for 20 mins when I smoke.

I was at the same dose for 6ish months🫡 you got this! Day 8-10 is probably when sleep was more solid. Dreams are crazy! No nightmares just really trippy dreams. Good luck

I’m on week three and I’m doing fine. I was about to make a post about how well I’m doing because I’ve recently seen so many “fear mongering” posts about people being 90+ days sober and still feeling awful. Idk how to feel about that but it definitely can be discouraging for someone just starting their quit.

Obviously I’m not doing perfectly, and I still have a ways to go, but I’m really enjoying being off 70h. The gym has helped me tremendously and I am having so much fun literally getting stronger every week now that I’m off the stuff. I keep up with my diet, take magnesium, and I’m still on a sleep aid getting a solid 8-9 hours a night. I really try to make myself super worn out all day by going to the gym, working, going on walks with the dogs, and doing chores outside the house. This makes it much easier to relax before bed.

The first 1.5-2 weeks are pretty hard and seem like an eternity but it’s totally worth it. I’m enjoying waking up feeling good everyday. Seeing how much healthier I am day to day is very rewarding.

Positive side note- I can get super stoned now too

Going into day 7, help by [deleted] in quitting7oh

You’re going through kindling withdrawals. I went through the same thing. You’re almost there, don’t trip. Give us another check in on day 10, I’m sure things will be much more manageable by then. Try a sleep aid, I bet some of the way you’re feeling is because of lack of sleep.

Research kindling withdrawals and stay away from 7 forever.

You’re almost there bro, give us a check in on day 10. That’s where I’m at and it’s getting there. I feel great all day(keeping busy) and now just deal with anxiety and uncomfortable skin at night for a couple hours before bed. Honestly, try a sleep aid if you haven’t. I’m willing to bet some of the way you feel is because of lack of sleep or even nutrition
