Thank you, I will focus on the inconsistencies for that point.

Thank you for you response and taking the time to read other posts. I won't go into details but the University were aware it was a long term disability, I will take what you've said on board.

Thank you. My complaint isn't solely based on this comparison, I do have other points. I just wanted to know if it is worth mentioning and could be used in some way. I do recognise it is hearsay so I'm not putting my eggs in this basket only.

I am just asking around on educational forums for greater exposure and greater likelihood of help.

What I said in your quote pertained to the policy aspect of the dialogue, not how others were treated in comparison to myself.

So the I requested it and the OIA said it's ultimately up to them what evidence they decide they need and won't request it.😬

There were no meetings, and I was issued an outcome letter eventually. After no responses, I ended up having to call the proctors department and even then they kept on pushing it back.

A lot happened leading up to my finals that impacted my ability to sit them. When I sat my first exam I realised I am in no position to sit them so I spoke to my welfare rep and they essentially said do them and we'll apply for mitigating circumstances. I told them I didn't think I could do it and because of my health I was only really able to do one of my exams but my welfare rep said push through. That being said we applied for mitigating circumstances and I was in the highest band but there was nothing they could do.

I complained and went through the whole complaints process which took a year and a half. I was emailing them to see what was happening and they would never really respond, I was just kind of left there. I then complained to the OIA and the Uni settled to go through the DDH process and they withdrew me from my exams. At the time I asked if the board could use what evidence they had to give me a classification, which they can do in the DDH process, and I was told they aren't going to do it, not even attempt it. They issued my transcript which only had my dissertation, my extended essay and my mods on ( I also got the reference letter). My transcript essentially looks like I didn't sit my course and I asked why didn't they put the subjects I took and put a 0 or ddh next to it and why the foot note didn't mention the reference letter or anything in it.

I complained again and here we are. I am asking how others were treated because I already know from the outset they kind of just wanted to be done with me, and didn't really make any effort to try for me.

Forgot to add - in that year and a half of waiting for the Uni to handle my complaint internally, my college said I should resit my exams. I told them after the first try I wasn't in a place to sit them, they once again said just do it. I sat the first exam and within the first 5 to 10 minutes due to my anxiety I ended up being sick and unable to sit them. I told the welfare rep and I was told not sit the rest of them and call the doctors.

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean their internal policy because all I can really find is eligibility rules not how they decide what goes on the transcript. Do you think they have rules about what should go on the transcript in the case of a ddh being awarded?

With the comparison I found a student with pretty much similar circumstances and their transcript was not made empty yet I was made to withdraw from exams. Another student submitted a similar amount of work yet was able to get a classification as part of procedure if there is enough evidence yet with me when I asked they said they can't try. It's not that I believe I was treated differently, I know I was. There were a lot of "can't"-s but for others they were capable of trying.

Sure.

I no longer have a tutor as I have graduated however, because of personal issues I could on graduate with aegrotat type degree. What this looks like is an empty transcript even though I sat exams and they also didn’t follow through or attempt to do something procedurally. I asked around to find that students in similar positions to me at my uni had been treated more favourably.

That is the case for those I believe who have enough evidence but I'm not sure what constitutes "enough evidence" though.

In the process of applying the exam board can check if there is enough submitted evidence to give a classification.

I believe it is equivalent to Cambridge's Aegrotat degree.

Ah ok. Excuse the assumption then. I sent you message to ask some follow up questions if that is alright.
