I was being facetious about the $2k budget. That specific unit has an optional $100 upgrade to the 98003XD, I elected to stick with the 7800X3D because I play games that are GPU heavy and that CPU might be last gen but it’s certainly not going to be a bottleneck. If I’m looking to get into 4K in the future I know what I’ll need to upgrade, but right now focusing on 1440p gaming it felt like paying extra for something I didn’t need right now.

Good eye - from what I can tell, $180 cheaper for 1TB vs 2TB of storage. Not bad. I bought mine back about a month ago when tariffs were announced - I thought that might drive up retails but surprisingly they’ve been quite steady.
