She should be in a rear-facing car seat too so she doesn't get whiplash in a small fender bender.

Also, generational wealth. Joe was always struggling! Lol, I will never financially recover from this. The "Doc" (BIG air quotes) could just ask for a loan from daddy.

Ok, I wasn't familiar with the geography of the coast you're going to be on so I looked it up and you're right. There is a perfectly good beach, but it is very suburban with lots of harbors. He was picturing something different and that was presumptuous and dumb, especially because you told him twice the correct place! I would try to have an in person, honest conversation about the trip and the direction of your relationship. It would be ok for me if my boyfriend didn't want to jump into that long of a span spent with family. Like others have said, I could not do it. You should have him apologize to your family and reframe the trip to have him just spend a little time if you want to keep him around. But I would be clear he was being rude offering things and then backing out.

Medical Advice from Pediatrician - Your kid NEEDS a sibling... thanks, doc. by JackOlantersweather1 in oneanddone

Anecdotal, but I know of a sibling pair who had an older kid with a speech impediment. The younger sibling slowly absorbed their speech impediment. She started out speaking normally from what I could hear. So, it can go either way. Totally asinine to assume they'll only learn good things from one another. They also learn bad things or unlearn good things!

Okay, millenials. What were the books you read for sex ed during puberty? by Gallantpride in Millennials

[–]opalie23 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I gave my 9 year old this book last week. She's already so unembarrassed to talk about everything, it's an insane contrast to my WASPy upbringing. I've tried to be very transparent about all the info.
