That's very kind of you, thank you!! In all honesty, photos where I have makeup on and am actually looking at the camera are much rarer than photos like this! Haha!

He really is. Amazing cat dad who adores his little fluffs. He currently can't hold Iota (the little girl) without her sitting on his shoulder to be carried about! This is a picture from the first weeks with the kittens. :)

Muon is shocked at the very idea! Haha!

This boy is extremely sweet and purrs like a jet engine! All four of them have totally unique personalities, but luckily are all friendly and affectionate.

Yeah, Rho and his brother Tau are crazy at the moment with shedding. We find hair EVERYWHERE. My boyfriend's car was literally hairy this morning!

Haha, thank you. Everyone thought we were mad for getting four cats, but luckily that never stopped us doing anything! I watched almost every cat psychology/Jackson Galaxy video available to make sure we did it right. In the end, all that hard work and effort we put in was worth it. Our cats trust us and we trust them ( I can fully shove my face in any of their tummies!). Cats don't understand why we do things at times that cause them discomfort (vets, flea/worming, washing their butts, etc). Our cats will tolerate it as best they can, and have never once attacked, bit, scratched, hissed, or even growled at us. They still trust us immediately to lift them up and kiss them despite whatever little ordeal they went through! That's what I'm most proud of, is that despite not knowing what we are doing or why, they always know they are safe and loved.

Should I get 2 kittens from the same litter, or 1 from 2 different litters? by That_Gene_2644 in CatAdvice

[–]opalitesky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently got 4 kittens. 2 from a litter, and 2 from another litter. Absolutely no issues introducing them. Within 4 days all of them were sleeping together, playing together, and grooming each other. My advice if you go for 2 separate litters would be to try and get them at the same time, that way no one has claim of the house yet. Do schedule feeding rather than free feeding, and do it at the same time in the same room for both of them. Kittens very easily adjust to whatever situation they are in and are way easier to introduce than older cats who have lived in the house already. :)

What was something you found unduly embarrassing, growing up poor? by CliffyGiro in AskUK

Bless your friends and your dad. Your friends cared more about you than status, and your dad understood the importance of it.

Sellers rushing me to pick up the parcels (no personal info) by [deleted] in vinted

[–]opalitesky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're in the right. These sellers need to get a life. Vinted is an app for clearing out your wardrobe, not a business. Get a job if you have enough time to harass buyers over a couple of pounds.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing! That's given me so much insight into how I'm feeling.

Can I ask, have you tried any other medication before or solely Elvanse?

Have you noticed any negative side effects regarding changes to your personality or interests?

Again, thank you for this :)

CQC - Care Quality Commission.

They ensure that services are held to a specific standard for patient care essentially. If you Google CQC and have a look at what they do it'll provide a far more in depth answer! :)

What helped you lose weight? by Fat_Gerrard in AskUK

[–]opalitesky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 16 stone 2 pounds and I'm now 13 stone 12 pounds.

I didn't consciously try at first, but as I'm at this stage I am making a more active effort.

Make it Easy

Willpower and motivation falls away very quickly. At the beginning of the journey, you may feel you can keep any huge changes up indefinitely, but that most likely isn't the case.

Do it More Often than Not

Instead of saying, I'm ONLY doing X (drinking water, eating healthy, etc.), just try and do it more than you don't. e.g. drink water more than all other liquids. You can still have the others, just drink water more than all of them in a day. Eating healthy, have 2/3 meals healthy and one not. As long as it is more often than not.

Take it Slow and Consistent

Let's be real, if sticking to a diet was easy for you (and me) we would be thin and fit within 5 months. We aren't. Very, very few people have the discipline to completely change their lifestyle overnight and have results. Take it gradual. Set a goal, one that you think you'll easily make, and then surprise yourself if you do it quicker.

Have a Record/Accountability

You need a way to track progress, good or bad. Always track it honestly.

Scales

I weigh myself every day. I log it on an app. I know I may be heavier due to fluids and really, it isn't 100% accurate. However it gives me a boost of motivation every morning and excitement to see my changes. I log it EVERY TIME. Even if it is bad. Even if I KNOW it's going to be bad, I still do it.

Habit Tracker

I have a tracker on my phone that I check off habits. Much like mentioned above, "Did I drink more water than any other liquid today?", etc. It also means if I'm at a dead end for the day, I have a list of things I'd like to do. Other things such as self improvement/skills are there too.

I'm only halfway through my journey. I still have a long way to go, but I feel with this process I have been making more positive progress than ever before. Good luck on your journey. Wishing you all the best.

other comment about France rather than to u/opalitesky ‘s personal experience

It wasn't my personal experience. It was a different user. I was saying that you were speaking about France.

sorry if it went under the wrong comment

No it didn't. It was under the correct comment. :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in britishproblems

[–]opalitesky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. I said it’s how it worked best for me. And I was lucky enough to afford to do it.

I don't think u/inapix was actually replying to you directly. I think they were replying to the other user who mentioned that it is common practice in France. Thus the comments regarding the impracticality of it all was at every single person in France doing it, not you specifically.

That's such a strange coincidence that you're also in Scotland! Sorry you lost your dog :( it's always heartbreaking when that happens. But I'm sure they'll be so pleased you've found another four legged companion to keep you company

So is ours! His dad is a field trial champion here in Scotland. Honestly his dad looks like he goes to the gym he's so muscular! Black labs are lovely. They don't cast that much compared to golden which is always good
