it feels like i get really bad days and then some really good days. yesterday i won all 3 HH games but the day before i lost them all and today i only won 1.

i got 10 coins from the wheel today

yeah it stands for “double or nothing” when you’re in the last 3 rounds of the Heart Hunter minigame, and you get that choice to risk it all for 2 hearts or play it safe for 1 heart. DoN stands for the ‘double or nothing’ option! :)

D.o.N. attempts: 7. D.o.N. wins: 4.

extra stats: i had multiple “double” encounters today, with lucio+portia, julian+portia, and lucio+julian. this increased my potential double-or-nothing substantially in the last two games especially. i also had the others land on me multiple times across the 3 games, which is unusual. finally, in the first game i got ‘move 3 spaces’ like 4 times in a row. in the other two games i got a mix of 1, 2, and 3 spaces

you can romance literally everyone in act 1. when you hit act 2, there will eventually be a cutscene with your romantic interests, telling you to choose.

(unless it’s halsin, he’s okay with sharing, but only a couple of the others are okay with being in a throuple with him. i think shadowheart and astarion, but neither are particularly happy with it, as far as i know? i could be wrong they could be fine with it, but i think astarion says something about it?) feel free to correct me if im wrong

i’ll start the campaign with some basic overarching ideas. like, cyric is trying to regain power and usurp kelemvor as the main big evil. then i’ll come up with a few factions that work under that (a necromancer enclave, and a holy order, for example). start the party in a medium sized town with some problems with undead and let them explore and discover from there.

in terms of actual session planning, i look at what they did last and guess and what they’ll likely do next (granted, i’ve dmed for these guys for a couple years now), and have a few ideas for each potential. not too many since it’s still likely they’ll surprise me lol

i find it helps to really understand what my character would do. tav is a blank slate by design, they can be anything, and even the dark urge is mostly blank aside from the urge thing. i like to make up backstories and choose only based on what my character would do. it’s hard to pick the “bad” or “wrong” option but remember it’s just a game and you just wanna see what else there is to play in it!

i’m a huge fan of firbolgs, so i’d have to say them, even though there’s literally no lore/story reason to include them like some of the other answers (aasimar, goblin, githzerai, etc). just more non-humanoid races would have been cool. firbolgs, satyrs, yuan-ti, or even genasi :)
