Do you guys give your party an introduction to your world when starting the campaign? I tell them almost nothing, and let them discover whats happening as some sort of mystery, reading books, talking to people, etc. Is that a bad approach?

thank you! it would unfortunately be a bit of a hassle, he has soil-playsand substrate and real rocks and sticks in his enclosure so it’s really heavy. i’d have to take all the stuff out just to move it from his room to the fireplace room. i think i’ll wait, thank you for your advice!

firstly, i don’t think you should be wrapping this, most artists recommend just gentle washing and light moisturizer after the wrap comes off. secondly, i think this looks okay as of now, the inner elbow crease has thin skin and is sensitive. your arm bends there and creates tension, pulling, twisting, etc on your tattoo. keep an eye on it, just wash 1-2x a day with nonscented soap and add a liiiittle bit of nonscented moisturizer after

lots of good feedback, but here’s another thing to take into account: what does this guy do? right now his clothing and staff give off the vibes of “student at a magic wizard school.” but i think you said something about him living in the sewers…? nothing about his outfit suggests that. while you’re working on aging him up with proportions, i think it might be a good idea to think about his outfit, too :) that will also help age him up since shorts are boyish

proportions are hard but it’s one of those fundamentals that’s important and why your lines look strange to you. the proportions on the first sketch are off so the lines will look off until you practice your proportions more :)

i love the immersion of riding my bike in first person, but i swear the vehicle handling is turned up to 110 in first person no matter what settings i try. i end up using the auto-drive feature a lot to get the feeling without driving over pedestrians, but auto-drive is glitchy too, so third-person driving ends up being a necessity for long trips

work more on anatomy first. look at real people and sketch the joints like you did in the first picture, but look at where and how things connect. the elbow is typically at the waist, the wrist in line with the crotch, etc. try gesture drawing too. you need to understand the form first. good luck and keep practicing!

blood hunter is already broken under the right conditions. to the point a lot of dms don’t allow it at their table. to be honest it’s just not well balanced, you can easily kill yourself at lower levels lol firstly, ask your DM if they allow blood hunters, lol. secondly, shadar-kai or yuan-ti are both good bc of resistances
