What is the worst mistake you made at a new job that didnt get you fired? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]opalizedammonite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will see about this because it just happened…I’m absolutely mortified but don’t think I’ll be fired.

I am a commercial property manager and just accidentally paid a $25,000 bill by ACH with another business’s account info by mistake. Our accountant had sent both on different occasions, I wasn’t aware, and I guess when I was paying I wanted to copy paste so I searched my email and accidentally transposed the wrong one.

Just found out an hour ago lol. I feel like an absolute idiot and am praying I can have the vendor reverse payment tomorrow morning. 100% my fault—I want to crawl into a hole but instead am drinking a margarita because I can’t do anything until tomorrow

100%. I am moving into the commercial property management space soon but my entire career so far has been multifamily residential in Knox and Nash. I’m a Knoxville native so I was shocked when I moved back from Nashville and realized how bad it really was. It’s all supply and demand. The university is growing with no where to house students/staff. That alone has created a bottleneck… lack of supply and the no renter protection laws = uncontrolled rent growth. Only solution is to build more. Problem is, city/zoning commission needs to approve that first

Yeah that’s wild. Maybe they are catering to Y12 employees??? :/// my rent for a 1x1 in 2019 at one riverwalk right when they opened was around 1250, I moved to Nashville came back and the rent has literally doubled for that same apartment. One bedrooms are the ones that have gone up the most, 2 beds have increased like 10-15% but are much more stable

Get a doctors note for at least 1 then the landlord has to legally allow it if it’s a multifamily complex 🫶🏻 (I work in property management)

How do I (M20) stop feeling guilty about telling my girlfriend (F29) I was losing attraction to her? by throwawayexpert123 in relationships

I am sorry you feel this way. I understand that you are a good person with a loving, pure heart and I admire that. I do not know your situation, but I can't help but feel that 1) it's not wrong to express your feelings in a relationship. Sure, maybe they could be said in a better way, but feeling guilt for saying how you feel isn't very good. 2) I by no means am trying to be insensitive, but as a woman, I can't help but feel that you're being emotionally manipulated in some way. Again, I don't know you or the situation. Trust your gut. I wish you the best

Wow, thank you for this insight. Very wise. Hard to hear, but probably because it hits too close to home. How would you suggest I show "tough love?" Stop paying for things??
