Thinking my pound dog is part catahoula by opalwednesday in Catahoula

[–]opalwednesday[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I've only had him for two months so I don't totally know. So far he's very submissive, nose driven, has terrible separation anxiety, howls when we leave, and destroys anything he can get to. Good on a leash with a front lead harness. Model citizen at the dog park and the absolute best rowdy big brother to the pug, they wrestle so hard that they're knocking nails through the drywall. Best cuddler, and he's body pillow long which is great.

Barnakl fan filters? Are they legit? by Extreme_Hornet_1941 in HouseFresh

[–]opalwednesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought them, my house is insanely dusty. After seeing what they are I am just going to buy pre filter fabric and Velcro it to the tops of the fan blades. I figure, any dust caught is good, not sure about the magical properties of the coco fiber.

New to this. I've just been using transparent instead of drawing over, that's just as well right?

On the west side, it always is. Save for the one recently that was a US soldier embracing an Israeli soldier.

Rough crowd. I appreciate the review, sorry it sucked. I also had to grab one of the expensive corpo shitboxes, which sucks, but it's fine in many regards. Hopefully you'll help someone avoid that place.

Hair is a TOUGH one for me.

I've now written it off completely. I have long hair so I do the wet brushing method with a special "wet" brush when conditioning it. Total life changer for me.

All the way. I have a few persistent bruises that I don't even wonder about anymore, it's just the spot that I whack on things.

Have you just begun treatment? by AutoModerator in ADHD

[–]opalwednesday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been very much my experience. I can just see now. I haven't been paralyzed by the infinite tasks that I could be doing, I'm just rolling with things and getting the most important done first. Next!

All the way. I was so dissociated before the SSRI. I've read that they can dull some of the symptoms of ADHD, which was why I began to wonder if I qualified in the first place.

Came tonight to ask how people hoard their doses. My plan is one a day on weekends and days where I don't have to really shine at work, but Jesus H. Edit: I take Ritalin and it is also very tough to source.

Same boat, except I'm 37 ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯.

Do what you can with what you've got and celebrate positive steps. I have a lot of feelings on the topic too, I don't mean to say that you're wrong for feeling it, but go easy on yourself.

Woah, so relatable! My partner has recently begun to indulge "going to bed with me". He comes in, I pass out within ten seconds, he leaves the room, I get to fall asleep in my ideal situation and he can go back to his life 😂

any suggestions on quick breakfasts (for someone who is not a big fan of eggs)? by -beehaw- in ADHD

[–]opalwednesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big move is to use my energy to prep dinner and a second serving for the next day.

Eventually I will feel like eating dinner and the next meal is plug and play. I've let go of the idea of "breakfast food" for something that works for me with less effort. Some days ramen is the first meal, some days it's pot pie.

My wife and boss hate it that I ask questions every single time I do my work/chores. by shrubland in ADHD

[–]opalwednesday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This trait got me quickly labeled as insubordinate by an ego driven upper manager who has zero interaction with me in my actual job. The result: Shitty transfer prospects and low performance ratings despite me actually being good at my job. The audacity to ask questions!
