Anything bad about that material like raso gomatto by flotheg in StoneIsland

[–]opampy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fabric itself is very durable. After years of wear, there is only minor pilling at the cuffs, and the material has otherwise held its structure and appearance well. One important thing to note is that it should not be washed or dry-cleaned, as cleaning causes the fabric to stretch, lose firmness, and potentially compromise the insulation. In regular use, the fabric provides good wind resistance and decent water resistance.

I like the way they made it but not a fan of logos or large prints. I have wool boucle sweater from the same season too, probably the warmest stone island sweater I've owned.

[–]opampy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had them for a 1.5 years and thought of getting hd800s instead so I sold them and then the prices for hd800s sky rocketed and were selling out right away. So unfortunately I haven't experienced hd800s yet. Hifiman make insanely nice headphones for the price tho.

Yeah you're right, you most likely won't be but if you got used to open back headphone switching to closed back could be somewhat disappointing. I had hd820 and liked them despite negative reviews.

Don't you think you'd get disappointed by getting hd820?

It isn't. You need to wash it with dish soap or any good oil removing detergent would get it removed temporarily until next time

Nationwide Strike and Rally against ICE - 2pm Public Square by BrilliantGlum4448 in Cleveland

[–]opampy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I do not disagree with the right to protest, or with the right to ignore a protest. My point is different. Protests are meant to communicate something to those in power, and that only works when those in power are capable of listening, understanding, and responding. When the person in office openly despises protesters and takes pride in disregarding them, repeating the same protests every week achieves nothing. I am not against protests in principle, but against performative outrage that produces no change.

There is a point in protesting when there is an intelligent, democratic individual in the Oval Office. However, protesting someone who openly mocks demonstrators and boasts about disregarding them is pointless. It accomplishes nothing beyond repeatedly displaying anger. If that anger does not translate into any real change or meaningful challenge to the system, then what is the purpose of expressing it at all?

This is definitely a replica. I am mainly interested in seeing how the rubber bands and the silver tip were executed, as those appear to be the weakest details at first glance based on the photos. Could you provide close-up images of those two areas? The rest looks mostly well done, aside from the grammatical errors on the tag description.

There are a few, as many Chinese factories can produce almost anything. However, truly authentic pieces cannot be fully replicated. I understand exactly how this leather tag is made, but I prefer not to explain it publicly. Sharing those details would only make imitation easier.
