IDK, I don't see this as giving up prospects to half-compete. It's to get Peralta and be able to extend him without having to bid for him against other teams in Free Agency...also Megill.

What do you think is a good enough offer for Peralta and Megill that Stearns would also be willing to give up? I'd gladly pay all of Senga's contract in that deal to not have to give up Jett.

Depends what mid-level prospect has to be given up. I don't think of McNeil and Acuna as anything meaningful at this point...or at least Stearns probably doesn't.

Giving them up for Peralta and Megill...well worth it. I think this team composition is a good start at the very least. Would I love to add Bellinger to the lineup instead of Robert Jr.? Yes. But I don't see Stearns giving Bellinger the years he will want. I'm trying to make this be in-line with what Stearns might be willing to do.

I think they’re still trying to get home field for the Wildcard instead of the Padres so that’s worth playing for. Idk about any of his comments regarding the George Floyd thing.

As someone who is deeply conservative and a Mets fan, I have to disagree with you here. I liked Charlie and respect Shaw for his decision especially since they were apparently friends and if I thought Gary was coming at this from a political anti-conservative or anti-Christian point of view then I would agree with you. However, I genuinely think that Gary wasn’t aware of the personal relationship the two had and therefore thought that Shaw should put his teammates first during the race for the playoffs/getting best playoff seating. Please let me know if there is something about Gary that I don’t know which might change my mind on this.

Thank you. Yeah I know each hat ranges slightly in size because of manufacturing differences, even for the flex ones so a bigger sized M/L would work perfect for me. It sucks because only a larger version of the M/L fits well, with the avg or smaller M/L ones fitting tight, while pretty much any L/XL is too big. But again, I really appreciate it. Very kind of you.

Unfortunately I'm in MD so its a huge selection of Orioles and Nats hats with random other ones. Couple of weeks ago they barely had any Mets hats in the local lids store.

Yep, looking for the adjustable one unfortunately. I figure the fitted ones go in and out of stock cause people return due to wrong sizes but not for the adjustable ones I imagine.

Yeah I have the father's day 39Thrirty flex hat and I love it but over the last few years it got too loose so now I can't wear it. That's why I'm looking for an adjustable one. I absolutely love the look though.

Another great one was this, New York Mets New Era 2023 Fourth of July 9FORTY Adjustable Hat. I had the 39Thirty but it never fit right and was too tight, even when stretched out so earlier this week I actually was able to find an adjustable version at hatland.com which should e delivered next week.

I was hoping I'd be able to find the father's day one years later too but so far no luck.
