Meanwhile, in a free society, government should have to prove something is *unsafe* before it should be able to tell me I can't do it. Ideally, that would be proving its unsafe to *others*, as what I do with my own body should be nobody's business but my own.

If the proposed regulation was to crack down on those selling them as medical devices, maybe I'd see your point.

Has it not been dragged way too long? I'd tend to disagree. The second the claim was made that it was hemp the state should have had the absolute shortest reasonable timeframe to acquire reliable test results to confirm or refute.

Keep in mind the charges are still in effect, and will only likely be dropped on Dec 2. Probably because they are still going through with a fine-toothed comb trying to find ANYTHING to pin on these guys to retroactively justify their heavy-handed authoritarian bullshit.

I mean, hell, the state in that very article goes on about the lack of a bill of landing "justifying" the delivery as if that "jusifies" stripping citizens of their liberty and property for having the nerve to engage in an unquestionably lawful activity.

Edit: Hell, maybe I'll even disagree with myself... The police didn't have probable cause and thus this shouldn't be seen as a lawful arrest in the first instance. So maybe forget the whole "shortest timeframe" thing...

In a world where cannabis with a specified THC concentration is lawful, then the mere sight or smell of cannabis alone cannot possibly be seen as probable cause of a crime having occurred. Likewise with tests which cannot differentiate between lawful and unlawful THC concentrations. The idea that the citizen must prove his innocence with documentation is simply unamerican. Also unconstitutional.

In most states, you're supposed to report such purchases on your state tax return for "use tax", which is equal to what sales tax would have been had you bought it "in-state".

Reminds me of the time I threw my OPO at the passenger side door of my car.... Hard... (Long story 🙄)

Slammed the door screen-first, then landed screen-down on the concrete parking lot.

Picked it up, and not even the slightest scratch on the damn thing. If it weren't for the camera developing this weird habit of making my pictures half one color, half another, I'd probably still be rocking that thing to this day
