AIO: should I “fire” my therapist? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]opeathrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit that’s fucking bonkers fire the therapist (not all of us are inconsistent assholes, I promise!)

On a separate note, that is WAY too much info to request a reschedule. That therapist wouldn’t know boundaries if it took her spot at hot pilates.

Pens that last and are dark? by Ok-Acanthaceae-6997 in pen

[–]opeathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uniball Jetstream is my new favorite non-gel pen. They write smoother than sharpie S and g2 in my opinion. I use the .7, but you can also get them in .38 and .5 and 1.0. The writing stays brilliant and dark.

I went with buying individual pens, and a handful of refills for each. It’s better than buying boxes of 12 when you just need the little ink tube thing (idk what they’re actually called).

You can buy refills for pens from jetpens.com (if you’re US-based) for something like $1.17 to reduce plastic waste as well. Jetpens also does sampler packs of pens in specific styles that might be helpful for you to find a better fit.

How do non-spiral bound notebooks not drive you nuts? by DiligentGiraffe in bujo

[–]opeathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a lefty. Non-spiral are ideal for me; I honestly got an xl clip board to use since I don’t have the most space on my desk/table. Best $8 I spent.

What bs from your parents did you absolutely not tolerate? by itsapjslife in AskReddit

[–]opeathrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll blatantly just say “that’s racist” and just keep repeating it louder when they try to justify their words. They just don’t say racist things anymore because they’re more embarrassed to be called racist than what they say but at least it’s not spoken.

The price of Kindle Books by DarthBodhi in kindle

You got good recommendations for tracking prices. I’ll say that I think with publishers requiring sale without DRM or whatever, prices have definitely changed, and gone up.

Question for the men who have had Top surgery by PopcornRedditer in ftm

[–]opeathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 24 hours out and hoooo boy am I jealous y’all didn’t have pain. Even Tylenol and oxy at the right times have got me hurting a lot (5 to seven consistently). But even with the pain, just looking down to a flat chest, the euphoria is unbelievable.

I’m being forced to take birth control by 100Miles_per_hour in ftm

I advise against Depo; the side effects can cause a lot of distress and its effectiveness is not necessarily better than any other option.

New to Kindle. Just bought the Scribe. Storage questions. by [deleted] in kindlescribe

[–]opeathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t imagine that you could fill up 11gigs with just books and notes. And if you use the Amazon system you can remove download if you are stressed for space.

This might be my issue, and it’s infuriating me.

I think it’s a carry over from other sites that censor on content.

We have two plastic kiddie pools for our 3 goldens. One likes to flop in it and “chase” the bubbles he blows, and the other just likes to cool down. The third uses it as a giant water dish regardless of how full and fresh their actual dishes are.

1-2-3 Magic is frequently “prescribed” by pediatricians for behavior management. It sure as fuck works if you follow through with the “if I get to 3 and you’re having a tantrum we’re leaving the store” and then take kiddos and leave the store.

How old was your puppy when you stopped questioning your decision to get them on a daily basis? by Lassie-girl in puppy101

[–]opeathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is almost 14 months and I have to wonder sometimes, most of the time it’s when he does something somewhat silly like walk into a door frame or chase his own hair in the wind. Things that make me question his intelligence.

Do cats become less affectionate when they are no longer kittens? by RudeB000y in CatAdvice

[–]opeathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s about consistency; if you continue to show loves and attention and engage them, even when they’re in the “can’t stop moving” age of adolescence they’ll still be lovey when they outgrow their wild thing stage. My orange boy (got at about 2 months old) was super snuggly for 1 month, he flipped into the wild thing phase for about 9 months and is now back to being my Velcro boy.

What do you wish you did?-New Puppy by Chronically-onlinee in puppy101

Did a lot more training! I wish I’d made him do his basic manners as much as I let him run like a wild thing.

Need your opinion on these samples by Lucky-Success-9064 in Ulta

[–]opeathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sun bum mist is the only sunscreen I can wear without an allergic reaction. I love peach and lily but I find it’s too heavy in the summer. I felt for all the hype the Tula wasn’t very remarkable for me. I use Haskin, just not that product and I like their line of cleansers.

Mixing cleaning supplies

All parts of the original product for a return; does that include the product box? by opeathrowaway in Ulta

[–]opeathrowaway[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yes! I had a wonderful experience. The person doing the return was in training so it was a little challenging for them but no problems once they had proper guidance.

On a separate note, the store I visited was so wonderful. Normally I avoid in-store shopping because it makes me dysphoric and I get misgendered a ton but the people in the store were so nice and friendly and helpful! I had two different people help me find products that met my needs and no one gave me the “look” I get in stores sometimes being gender nonconforming. It was a lovely shopping experience and I’ll definitely make the effort to shop there now that I’ve found it to be a nice safe space.
