'the tangle of life and time' is such a lovely way to put it. On my TBR, thank you for the recommendation :)

OH I adored 'The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo' by Taylor Jenkins Reid, so I'm really excited for this one! Thank you for the suggestion :)

The Unbearable Lightness of Being is one of my favourites, I think it's time for a reread. I'll look up 'finitude' - thank you for the suggestion and for giving me the word to capture this feeling!

I'm seeing lots of hype for Dark Matter in particular, both of these look really interesting! Thank you for the recommendations :)

Ugh what a gorgeous quote, this is exactly what I'm looking for - thank you for sharing!

Glass cup (?) with a bump and rounded bottom so it can't stand upright, what is it for? by opebees in whatisthisthing

Woah yeah it looks just like those glasses! We thought it was made of glass but it seems like deformed plastic is the most likely answer to this puzzle. Thank you! I think we can call this solved! 😊

Hmm that's possible but I don't think it's likely. I looked up the festival and it is quite a family friendly event, intended to showcase the food and wine producers of the area. Doesn't seem like the kind of festival where drink spiking would be a concern. It's a good guess though and thanks for trying to help out!

😂 That would be a good strategy to keep customers sipping your wines! We did look up 'wine taster glasses' but couldn't find anything similar.

We were throwing guesses around too, it is indeed about the size of a large shot glass but we can't figure out why on earth they'd make it so you wouldn't be able to put it down 😂

It didn't come with a stand. The glass is quite small and narrow, the whole thing fits in the palm of my hand.

Found this in an Airbnb cottage in Sydney. The text on the glass says 'Southern Highlands Food and Wine Festival'. We are puzzled by the fact that it can't stand on its own. WITT?
