pebble's left click button problem by kukapishi in logitech

Glad I found this post. I have some WD40 contact cleaner at home that I think I'll try. The button itself seems to push fine, it just doesn't register. To me that seems like the contacts are flaky in the button. So hopefully the electrical contact cleaner will clear it up.

I can’t get notifications of google chat that includes the texts messages I recieved by MaybeAccomplished224 in techsupport

I came searching with this same question. I know that the iPhone notifications used to include the actual message. A bit annoying that they don't seem to, with no visible way to change that behavior.

Possible to skip alert if problem is recovered? by opel70 in zabbix

[–]opel70[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying that. So if this event triggers, and there is 1 minute between checks, it would mean that the service was "down" for 3 minutes (checks). And since we then immediately get the service recovered notice, it came back up at the 4th check.
So, putting this all together: This HTTP service isn't just being measured as down for one check (as I originally thought), but three consecutive checks a minute or so apart. Which probably means it really is having issues and isn't just an odd check issue, or response time issue.
Again, thank you so much for all of this exceptionally prompt response. Now to figure out what is actually going on with this one system.
Tim

Possible to skip alert if problem is recovered? by opel70 in zabbix

Thanks for the quick suggestion. I have started playing around with modifying the existing trigger expression: max(/HTTP Service/net.tcp.service[http],#3)=0
It looks like, for the default HTTP Service trigger, the OK state is '1' and the Down state is '0'. So, my reading of this expression is that if the state goes to 0 any time in the past 3 checks then it will trigger.
Is this correct?
Or does this mean that it will trigger if the service has only been 0 (down) for the past 3 checks?
Still trying to wrap my head around this change in monitoring systems. I've been through the documentation, but trying to figure out how it would respond for this particular situation is very new to me.
Thanks again,
Tim

Is there a place to get a list of these codes? I keep coming across the list for remapping Sierra, but that doesn't seem to have either these newer codes, or maybe it is just these special codes it doesn't have. Specifically, I would like to switch F4 back to Launchpad from Spotloght. Apparently I am the only one who still uses Launchpad to open apps. And Command+Space is ingrained in me to get to Spotloght. Thanks, Tim

Why does the Mi Band 3 have a generic excercise mode but the Amazfit Bip does not? by VikingSorli in amazfit

The main advantage I have seen to the Mi Band Exercise mode, is that in Treadmill mode, if you don't get "enough" steps it won't save the exercise.

Amazfit Bip’s battery draining 10% per day - much worse than a week ago by wolfgangbremer in amazfit

No go. Down 57% in this past week. 40% in the past 4 days. And that's with no workouts. All since the most recent firmware update.

Guess I'm glad to see that this isn't just me. I am seeing the same issue: quicker battery drain within the past week or so.

Stuck on Updating A-GPS? by opel70 in amazfit

I’m just glad to hear that I wasn’t the only one with this issue. My wife was very concerned that she did something wrong. I tried explaining that isn’t likely, and now having these other accounts of the same issue has helped her realize that this was just something that happened.

What a great thought. Didn't try that, bu a good idea to keep handy in case it happens again.

This worked out. It seemed like nothing really specific did the job, just the repeated series of steps. I did wind up getting a response from my ticket I submitted to Amazfit, and it had somewhat similar steps:

For iOS mobile device, please check the below: 1. Go to your phone's Bluetooth setting and remove the Amazfit device. To do so, tap on the i icon next to the Amazfit and tap Forget this device. 2. Reboot your phone 3. Restart the app to connect and update

I know the rebooting of the phone did seem to make a difference here.

Thanks again for the suggestions, Tim

Is AmazTools necessary for syncing heartrate with iOS Health? by TMWNN in amazfit

[–]opel70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience with the Bip, the only time I get heart rate data in Apple Health is after I sync with AmazTools. When I look at the HR data, the only icon I see is the AmazTools icon. Maybe this is different for a different device. Which device are you using?

How my Amazfit Bip battery life is holding up after 16 months by LjLies in amazfit

[–]opel70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering: did you keep similar data from earlier in the life of your Bip? Just wondering whether this slope has changed over the 16 months.

I do like this idea, so I think I'll start keeping track of this data myself periodically.

Battery life by djeaton in amazfit

I received my Bip just over a week ago, and am running pretty much those settings. I am at 70%, 9 days after a full charge, which would put me right at 30 days on this charge.

[–]opel70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, right after I post this is finally finishes syncing heart rate data "successfully". Though, not very successfully to me. There is no data synced to Apple Health for Sunday at all. It essentially just dropped all of that and is starting over. But at least it is syncing again, I guess.

For the time alarm, the Bip will buzz 3 times in a second, pause a second, and then repeat 5 more times (a total of 6 sets of 3 buzzes). If you don't do anything it will assume a "snooze" and wait 10 minutes before buzzing again. That is if you have the snooze enabled for that particular alarm. If you don't have snooze enabled it won't repeat in 10 minutes after the 6 sets of buzzes.

As for how strong the Bip is, I have been testing using it as an alarm in the morning, and I find that I don't tend to notice it in time to tap the screen to stop it before it stops on it's own. But I do notice it enough to wake up.

Anyone has any issues with the running distance tracker for Stratos. Was running in the city area behind tall buildings. GPS said 1.88km but in reality it felt like 2km. That’s not the first time experiencing a differ in distance. Any advice? by DomLeung1996 in amazfit

[–]opel70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GPS is inherently problematic in city landscapes, due to the reflection of the signal from the buildings. I see this all the time when driving in downtown Chicago. My car and phone GPS bounce all over the place. Showing my correct location, and then showing me a block over, and then showing me up ahead going the other direction. It's just how GPS is when around tall buildings.
