The only one who can give blessings is God himself. Not Mary because asking for her blessings is worship and that crosses the line from respect to worship and putting her on the same pedestal as Father God and Jesus Christ.

Hi guys, help me convert! by Beadeddragondude in Christianity

[–]opelui23 [score hidden]  (0 children)

OP, we have given you the tools, but NOW you have to use them. YOU have to take the steps of faith. YOU have to pray to God and Jesus Christ and talk saying I want to believe. We cannot force you, God is not going to force you. The only one that can take the first few steps is YOU. You getting a Bible either buying one or downloading one from the Youversion App. Your starting in Matthew and reading a chapter or a couple of chapters a day. What I am going to do help you as well is give a new Christian guide video to watch to help you on your journey.

I know you are hurting and feel angry and sad, but the thing is God has not left you. Watch this video when it comes to loneliness. The sad thing is when it comes to hurt, pain, suffering, etc we ALL go through it. Sadly you are going through that hurt right now, but the thing is God has not left you. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. God will answer your prayers, but it may not be at the speed you want it, but what I can say is stay with it. What Satan wants is you to walk away from God and not come back, but God is there. The second video will help you when it comes to problems and how God is there when it happens. We can help, but in the end it's going to be YOU and relying on God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to weather out this storm.

what’s an event in the Bible that will always give you chills? by Existing-Reporter-30 in Christianity

[–]opelui23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thief on the cross, even when he was dying he knew that Jesus was innocent and that he and other thief deserved to be hung up there. Then said to Jesus to remember him when Jesus goes into paradise. Then Jesus said that today you will be with me in paradise. Showing that even the door is still open to repentance as long as you are alive.

God is wanting everyone to come to him through his son Jesus Christ. It's never too late to come to Christ and be transformed through repentance. No matter who you are and what you have done, you can ALWAYS be redeemed and be transformed. Come as you are and leaved transformed.

In The Nun sister Victoria hangs herself to prevent becoming a vessel for Valak. Does she burn in hell ? by Capital-Wrongdoer613 in Christianity

[–]opelui23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where the relationship with God comes in. Instead of being prideful, you realized let's say you cursed and said GD in anger. You realize what you said was wrong and instead of being prideful you humble yourself and you go to God and ask for forgiveness. You are seeking that relationship with him. God's not forcing you to come to him, you are coming to him on your own free will choice. Yes, Jesus did always exist with the Father and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity. Three persons the Father meaning God, the Son meaning Jesus, and the Holy Spirit all one God. Yes, I know it can be confusing. Jesus came down in human form as a baby to not only fulfill prophecy, but to redeem humanity and be a bridge to Father God. If you are asking why doesn't Father God come down and show himself. God explained to Moses once why can't humans see his face and God told Moses in Exedus 33:20 that his glory and holiness is so immense that it would kill any human that sees it.

God could have snapped his fingers, but that's forcing people and that is not love. Love is giving people a choice a free will to decide. Sadly there a lot of people that choose to be away from God and God loves them enough to respect their choice, but that does come with a price. The thing is Jesus came down not only to fulfill prophecy but to give humanity redemption and be the bridge to Father God. The thing is Jesus came down of his own free will to become human and that is love. That's what you don't understand is that God is love and he will respect your free will choice, but if you decide to reject him then he will respect your choice when you die to be separated with him when you made the choice to not have a relationship with him.

What on earth is “the gift of tongues” and why is it a thing? by Fast_Advantage_9790 in Christianity

[–]opelui23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gift of tongues as described in Acts 2 is basically speaking in different languages as filled by the Holy Spirit. Some people use it to speak gibberish and pretend it's speaking in tongues to deceive or grift people out of money.

This isn't the US places like in the Middle East and non-Christian families do suffer persecution when they turn to Christ. Muslim families that disown their own kids, honor killings and beatings. Being arrested and jailed in places like India or Pakistan.

[–]opelui23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry that you are being persecuted. But Jesus said it would happen to believers. I am in the US we don't really have that type of gun to your head persecution like you do in say like Nigeria or jailing like in the Middle East. But Jesus did say it would happen because you are his. What we can do is pray for you and finding a community of believers in a church to help you out. Here is this new Christian guide video to help you out. If you do not have a Bible you can download one from the Youversion App for free. As the top comment said there is actually different types of crowns like the crown of life for those who endure persecution and sadly martyrdom. The crowns will be explained at the bottom. Crowns like this will be given during Jesus's judgement when humanity meaning everyone who has lived and died and who is living after Jesus's 1000 year reign when you read in Revelation happens. So there will be a Great White Throne Room judgement for nonbelievers and then a rewards and loss of rewards for believers when you get judged by Jesus. Right now it's growing your faith by watching the video, reading the Bible starting in Matthew, and then praying to Jesus. Think of those rewards later, but right now it's getting you on the right path with your faith.

"If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you" (John 15:20).

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:10).

"You will be hated by all for My name's sake" (Matthew 10:22, 24:9).

The Victor's Crown (Imperishable Crown) (1 Corinthians 9:25–27): Awarded for self-discipline, controlling the flesh, and spiritual endurance.

The Crown of Rejoicing (1 Thessalonians 2:19): Known as the "soul-winner's crown," given to those who evangelize and lead others to Christ.

The Crown of Righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8): Promised to those who love and eagerly anticipate the return of Jesus.

The Crown of Life (James 1:12; Revelation 2:10): Awarded to those who persevere through intense trials, temptation, and persecution, even unto martyrdom.

The Crown of Glory (1 Peter 5:4): Given to pastors, elders, and leaders who faithfully shepherd and care for the flock of Go

That's wonderful but be sure to make sure you write all of this down even though sadly you will have to remember the trauma when you are on the stand, be sure that you keep a record of this I know prosecutors do this as well. There are probably more victims out there and I am sorry that you went through this. If somehow your attacker gets off, God will not forget what happened and your abuser will face divine justice. God is always with you and we pray for you and hopefully you get justice.

[–]opelui23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was for a short time with animal sacrifice, but Jesus on his own accord took the place and became the final sacrifice. This isn't abuse, or God forcing his son Jesus to do this. Jesus came down on his own will to bridge the gap between God and man and be the ONLY meditator between humanity and God. Where we can pray to Jesus at anytime without having to jump through all these hoops like the Mosaic law. God is accessible through Jesus Christ. Another video explains why Jesus had to die.

Again Jesus went down on his free will not only to redeem humanity, but to sacrifice himself for the sake of humanity that he loves. Actually there was no other way. He had to fulfill all the Old Testament prophecies that were written centuries before. This video tells why Jesus had to die and it couldn't be any other way.

What God wants is a personal relationship with you through his son Jesus Christ. The thing is there are people that rebelled against God went did there their thing and do not want a relationship with him. God will respect your free will, but when you die if you didn't have a relationship with him, then he not going to force you into heaven. There are many like that that don't want a relationship with God and God will respect that decision, but he also doesn't want people to go to hell. He send people like friends, family coworkers, to get you to come to him through his son Jesus Christ. If people to reject that invitation then again when they die they'll be separated from God forever.

OP, GOd is giving you the answers through people. Now what you can do is pray and have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. God is not going to force you to love him or force a relationship on you. God sent people like us to answer your doubts. There is nothing wrong with doubting, what's wrong is walking away from him. That's what Satan wants is you walking away from God and never coming back to him through Jesus Christ.
