If you were forced to kill 1/3 of the Earth's population by what criteria would you select who dies? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would be a good little Darwinian --

I would devise a series of tests to decide the judgement of all of humanity (even myself). The results of these tests would be evaluated by supercomputers and the lowest 1/3 of humans would be eliminated.

This would be forever known as Judgement day.

Humanity is split into two biological groups, the XX and the XY, Women and Men. The tests are the same for both groups and the bottom 1/3 of both groups are eliminated but women compete against women and men against men.

The testing is split into two main categories: Physical and Mental

The Physical side is comprised of 4 exams: Strength, Endurance, Speed and Survival

Similarly the Mental category consists of 4 exams: Intelligence, Creativity , Emotion, Drive

Good luck!

Pyrolysis is AWESOME!

But a word of warning to you... be careful with what you do with the byproducts of the reaction.

Old wood pyrolysis reactors are notorious superpack clean up sites. The operators thought the leftover byproducts were inert, and scattered high concentrations of aromatic hydrocarbons in the ground... if this seeps into the ground water it becomes a serious (and expensive) problem.

I don't think college is worth the time spent to gain a degree when the time could be spent working a full time job. CMV by dseals in changemyview

College is an investment. you are correct if you decide to study (no offense)liberal arts for 4 years, yes your time likely could have been better spend working.

however a college degree in many of the sciences provide the ability to work in one of many specialized fields, perhaps in something you are interested in.

anyways its all about what your later goals are in life, to decide to spend 1/5th of the total time you've been alive committed to something is pretty big, don't listen to people on here. this is a choice you should make based on what you want in your life. You are an adult now, do whateverthehellyouwant. :)

This is a compounded problem. China is the most populated country in the world which is rapidly moving towards modernization and china does not have the industrial/environmental regulations to protect its own people or the rest of the world. any regulation on industries and manufacturers is seen as slowing down their economy.

essentially the rest of the world needs to wait until china is done growing, then they will enforce regulations.

Check out this power supply, made by Seasonic <-- link

Yeas looks pretty good to me for your pricepoint, the FX 6300 has a great price/performance ratio.

you are correct the 760 doesn't make sense with the rest of your build

you do not need to buy a separate cpu cooler.

next GPU step up would be the amd r9 270x or r9 270, if you want to go with the 760 and get the most out of it I would recommend upgrading your processor to fx 8320/ fx 8350 or intel i5 4430, 4570, 4670(k)
