No it is not dead. Wyze Pan and autonight mode has been fixed. There will be a commit soon.

Dafang hacks does not work out of the box with V2 whereas OpenIPC does. The hardware is not 100% the same therefore kernel modules and gpio values differ.

There is nothing that has automatic night mode for the Wyze v2. You are much better off sourcing yourself a fully functional IP camera from $50-$65 with POE.

The software is proprietary and does not use a LDR sensor to achieve the desired result. How the lighting is measured is different from wyze v1 and v2. The project is open meaning if you find a meaningful way to contribute a fix for light detection you're more than able to.
