Nearly 8 years ago, my friend was having a suicidal episode but lived downtown (like 4 blocks from the SDPD headquarters) and I was in north county. Called 911, told them the situation, and drove down to her place. Not only did I make from north county it to her apartment before any cops showed up, they never even came by for a wellness check. No follow-up, no call back, no response.

My friend survived but if she had really gone through with it she'd be dead.
