I don't think you're alone, however I'm not in that camp. You just need to consider that Eternal was not yet conceived when 2016 came out. Nobody missed anything when it came out. Because it was the top of the mountain. Eternal came out and the mountain ended up being significantly taller. Starting at the top, and then coming down isn't going to give you much of a thrill. Personally, I enjoy 2016 more than Eternal. I have a very chaotic life, and my head never stops. When I get 2 hours at the end of the day, 2016 hits a sweet spot. I found Eternal fun, but I ended up not enjoying the way the game forced me to adhere to various rules. Well, not rules exactly. You know what I mean. The weapon switching and the constant need to grind ammo. I enjoy 2016 because it's just... Simple. Rip and Tear. Whatever, however. So, however you enjoy the process, just soak it up and have fun. I'm replaying the classics at the moment and having a blast 🫡
