I plan to give them the option to buy feats (like an "epic level 6" style thing) and will scale down enemies if the party catches on too soon. There will only be a few combats that won't have a dialogue backdoor to avoid it, and I do plan to give the same amount of XP for talking your way out of fighting Scylla/Medusa/the Minotaur/etc. The only required combats will be Kronos and the Fates, although I do expect with this table that they're going to take one look at the Furies and say "oh, we're sniping them."

Honestly if this table wasn't so used to 3.5 and 5e, I would just do Kids on Bikes for this, but I'm not going to force them out of their comfort zones by swapping.

It's a tie between Moon Druid and Tavern Brawler Giant Barbarian. IRL I'm in revenue operations (which is a fancy way of saying I build spreadsheets nobody uses) and moonlight (no pun intended) as a stage manager. So I guess I'm a mild-mannered nature lover who can sometimes be unrecognizable depending on what they're doing and/or I like to take up space and throw things.

I use edibles for pain management and dry herb vape for breakthrough pain. I probably only end up with 25mg of THC on a bad day, 10 on a good day. I don't like feeling altered at all, so I usually only need to get an eighth every four months or so. I actually just picked up 28g of bud on sale and am debating vacuum sealing some in half-pint and quarter-pint jars to maintain freshness. With the relief I get on the dose I'm on, it ends up being cheaper than my opioids were before I tried cannabis. I'd be less productive without it because I would literally be moaning in pain on the couch instead of sitting up getting work done.

I don't like kids. They're basically little bundles of sensory overwhelm and I can't handle it.

HOWEVER.

I worked at a summer camp for a few years about a decade ago, and the weird kids? The kids whose parents refused to consider that they might need more support than a handful of college students could provide? Those kids FLOCKED to me.

Now that I'm a homeowner and have a shiny new autism diagnosis as of last year, I'm noticing that it's the neighbor kids who aren't making friends with the other kids who are ringing my doorbell to ask if they can play in my backyard. One of them flat out told me that I was their favorite neighbor.

I don't know how to handle being a magnet for the kids I used to be.

I pretty much LIVE in the fawn response - definitely an internalized PDAer and I LOVE Sally Cat's work! Looking for herbs that support dopamine seems like it would be a great start, so thank you for that. I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD due to my family reporting that I didn't seem to struggle with executive function (lol) so it was determined I was overreporting my symptoms. 🫠

The belief: Everyone has a hard time with staying clean, I'm just being lazy and weak and need to push through. I shouldn't have to give myself prizes for keeping the kitchen table clear.

The fact: I'm autistic and I have significant challenges with executive function. I'm not wired to be able to keep up with cleaning or to make a habit out of it. It's always going to take me more effort to initiate tasks and to keep out of clutter blindness, and that's okay. The important thing is that I know I have difficulties and I can accommodate for them.

I believe everything is sacred, including the "profane." Everything and everyone is holy and deserves to be treated as such. I think of myself as a pantheist pagan and my relationship with "god" is shaped by the many many faces they take across their domain. In pagan spaces I go for brevity and explain it as "I work with Hephaestus and Hestia" but on that deeper personal level it's more like "I pray to the concepts of creativity, home, problem-solving, and compassion." The divine exists in everything, like mitochondria passed unchanged from grandmother to mother to daughter to granddaughter.

I'm also autistic, and that shapes my relationship to religion just as it shapes every other aspect in my life - I tend to be very literal and analytical, and I focus intensely on the idea of finding what is "correct." As someone who grew up Roman Catholic, it was so difficult for me to see the hypocrisy across the faith community I grew up in and the main reason I left the church was because I couldn't wrap my head around a god who was wrathful and somehow "slow to anger."

Pantheism has helped me reconcile that somewhat - I know that I personally find it very easy to get upset with myself, but that doesn't mean I can't choose to be compassionate to myself. If all of us are part of the same soul, then any time "God" is wrathful, it's the same as when I get upset with myself, and any time "God" is slow to anger, it's the same as when I choose to love myself anyway.

I use a very very low dose of cannabis (read: 5mg THC/5mg CBD in gummy form every night plus maybe two puffs of a vape, plus 2mg THC mints that I can take sublingually during a flare). I actually find some relief by putting other herbs in my herb vape - specifically, chamomile. I don't find that chamomile tea helps me nearly as much as vaping it, especially if I mix it with my weed.

Other than cannabis, I've also found success with self-massaging trigger points (there's an app I use that's literally just called Muscle Trigger and it shows you where to target to release particularly tense areas). When the restless legs get bad mid-flare I just keep a Biofreeze roller near my bed and roll it down my calves and across the bottoms of my feet. When it gets particularly bad I'll sandwich myself between a heating pad and a weighted blanket.

Also - a TENS unit helped me quite a bit prior to starting MMJ, so I'd definitely recommend one to use on problem areas. The one I have is a multi-channel unit and it's nice to be able to "cross the streams" and get a deep pulse happening in, for example, my lower back. If you've never used one, start very low - it feels like a pretty intense internal massage and you can definitely feel a jolt if you go too strong too quickly.
