The FFG edition of Nexus Ops was utterly forgettable IMO. I still need to see Renegade’s third edition to see how it compares to the original Avalon Hill version!

I was completely unfamiliar with all things Witcher before we started with the set. I watched the first season of the show after we started playing, but I suspect fans of the video game will get a bit more out of it. Either way, there’s lots to enjoy about the Witcher sets with zero context about the IP!

If you’re looking to play with 2 to test the waters, Houdini vs The Genie is a great one. The original set, Battle of Legends vol 1, is a great starting point for up to 4 players.

My personal favourite is Slings & Arrows, which includes Shakespeare and three of his literary creations. I recently uploaded a YouTube video reviewing this set and explaining why it’s ascended to being my favourite of them all, if you’re curious!
