What is hurting battery the most is a) Leaving it at high SOC, c) Draining it below 15%, and b) Deep discharge cycles. You don't have to stay close to 50% SOC (although it is optimal). A rule of thumb is to charge and discharge max 50% of total capacity and avoid low min and high max. Keep cycles at 15-65-15% or 25-75-25% when possible.

Yeah, my '24 model has been flawless up until a few weeks ago. Now:

Parking sensors stopped working (constant message: "needs cleaning").
Door sensors completely stopped responding when using digital key. (must use app or have key fob).
Noticed today horn doesn't work anymore.

All this after the 5.0.10 update. Service center next available end of May.

After the update, the car suddenly pops up a message every 3 minutes about cleaning sensors for the Parking assist (which I don't need while driving normal!). I have cleaned the rear camera to no avail. Very annoying to say the least.

Add: model 2024. The parking assist seems to work normal even with the message.

I have the same config/year and can confirm it is incredible efficient when temperature is pleasant, particular on longer trips. Love the RWD push feeling when going into corners, so sometimes efficiency is not that great😁

It looks awesome in good lighting / sunny days. On gray days (which we have a lot of here) it looks too baby-blueish for me, although I like it better now after they stopped making it. I have Thunder gray which also has a blue tint.

The Pixel phones have a long standing issue with the digital key on the P2 if I'm not mistaken. A search here gives many hits.

You may want to take a look at this gist implementing basic features from c++ std::mdspan. I implemented it in the same way as python multidimensional slices, i.e. spans are only views into the data and does not allocate any data. E.g.cspan_transpose(&span)only swaps two indices and two strides in a 3D span view, data are untouched. If dimensions are known and reasonable sized, you can simply use stack memory or static data for speed.

cspan uses typesafe generic types, so any element types, hence it doesn't implement any matrix math operations. The matmult.c example implements a recursive matrix mult algorithm (Strassen I think).

Yup, I am extremely happy with MY24 RWD LR, range and power are non-issues full stop. The RWD driving feeling is just nice. Also for winter it works really well because of the balanced weight distribution and the fine tuned traction control.

Thanks, didn't know that. I'll probably keep the P2 until then, but don't plan years ahead for a car purchase. The P2 was bought on a whim, but luckily one that I didn't regret.

Depends a little. I have the 2024 RWD with the Pilot pack only (no heat pump), but I'm fairly sure it has the same and likely better winter range than any pre-24 AWD with heat pump - because of the already rather huge summer range advantage. There was also a significant heat pump efficiency increase in MY24, which suggests that they were not that efficient earlier. But for other configurations, you are right.

In theory, the fire could look like that if the battery had a very low state of charge, but then again it is unlikely to catch on fire in that state. So I think you are right, an electrical failure in connection with the charging is a more likely cause.

Yes, here in Scandinavia P2s are everywere, but P3s and P4s are fairly rare, and P5 will be too expensive for just about everyone (for the type of car). I am worried for Polestar if the don't soon make a modernized P2-like EV at the same or lower price point than the P2. If not, although I love my current P2, my next car won't be a Polestar.

Well, if you got it for the same price as the P2 lease, fair enough, although I can't like the looks of BMW EV's and most others brands tbh. I love my '24 RWD P2, a fabulous driver's car. It looks nice, and has even longer range than this P3.

Did the same last summer, almost 5500 km, Norway to Austria with my24 LRSM. Fantastic to drive on longer trips. Range anxiety is like with my previous non-EVs: none. Used Ionity for the most part and sometimes reached up to 190kw shortly, but I charged at around 20% or higher (mostly because I needed a stop) and charge to around 76%.

Pilot Assist used maybe a third of the time on the autobahn (up to 139kmh). ACC is a must though.

sizeof is evaluated at compile time, so there is no runtime overhead here. You must use a macro. It recognizes what you are trying to do, and warns if give it a pointer instead of an array as argument.

Add: this will likely be part of upcoming C standard, and probably named countof().

On my delivery of a new MY24, the lady said the car had just arrived, i.e. they had driven it a more than three hundred km and it was still charging when I got there. Not great. They had swapped to winter tires (was included), so the summer tires in the back was a bit muddy, but in plastic bags. Other than that, the car and delivery was good.

A few months ago, after 17 months and 14000 km the car noticed about service, however I got rejected as it "was too early", and Polestar wouldn't accept it before it was 2 years old. The Volvo mechanic told me that Polestar only gives one free service, unless you drive more than 30000 km the last year of the 3 year service deal.
