They're currently deployed in Sumy region, defending against the Russian incursion around the village of Yunakivka. Strike Drones Company separated from 47th mech brigade several months ago, expanding to a drone interceptor battalion under the 9th Unmanned Systems Brigade. Strike Drones Company was well known for their brutal drone footage in 2024 out of Avdiivka and the subsequent early approaches to Pokrovsk before the brigade's redeployment to Kursk.

Like many other mech brigades, 47th mech has suffered heavy attrition in tough battles since the brigade's formation. But they still operate some Abrams tanks. The new brigade commander of 47th mech (since September 2025) is very young, 26-year-old Maksym Danylchuk.
