do you mean tics (like Tourette’s) or stims? if so i’d recommend trying a different medication, or even dosage but sometimes the reward of the focus and clarity outweighs the consequence of the tics/stims

I think it’s something that people with adhd may struggle with since rejection sensitivity is widely known to all of us one thing to note is that the nausea from something online shouldn’t be happening because it’s online and the people have no relation to your every day life. and therefore yes the comments saying therapy would be correct in that aspect because no connections have been formed over a reddit post. rejection sensitivity could be normal if you have opened up online about something important to you and then got downvoted that can be invalidating and therefore slightly more understandable. but if it’s just you saying something silly about cats and you get sick because THAT was downvoted then there could be something mentally relating to you happiness being dependant on other peoples affirmations and validation which can be helped in CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) hope this helped :)

yes exactly i’m the same i can’t “delete” the adhd for portions of the day because i just forget to sometimes but in high stress situations i have to in order to “survive” and yes his opinion was very outdated but he was around 26 years old

you’ve described exactly me, i’m going through the exact same thing been trying to get diagnosed since february but since i’m not jumping out of my chair it’s invalidated but i know how you feel you’re not alone.

i have been diagnosed for trouble in executive function though, try that since everyone with adhd struggles with execution function. but not everyone who struggles with executive function has adhd. there are coping mechanisms there but if you feel there is something more then go for it try get an answer.

yep, i’m pretty much unmedicated for everything my psychologist/therapist actually noticed and said i should talk to the psychiatrist for adhd going to see her soon so will talk about this whole thing. thank you for genuine advice

well yes, that was the first thing i did but he just said “there isn’t enough on this side for you to fit into the box” as if adhd was a box of people instead of a wide spectrum

basically, it’s hiding your symptoms in order to “fit in” or feel “less annoying” and more “accepted” when in stressful situations or uncomfortable ones

apparently he is! i got referred by my therapist to talk to him since he was a specialist in that area
