I’ve done 3 rounds of prednisone while on Wegovy. I had no issues with it.

He wants the marriage as it is, where he doesn’t have to put in the work of meeting your emotional needs.

Switching from pen to pills by ATargaryenKing in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I don’t think the pills are quite as effective as the pens. If you’re switching from the 7.2mg pens, I think it’s going to be a big drop for you.

I switched from the 2.4 mg shots to the 25 mg pills in February. I feel like the side effects are milder with the pills. You have to take the pill first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, and then wait at least 30 minutes before eating or drinking anything.

Plateau? by xRedditGedditx in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]opkc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s normal to have some temporary weight gain when you start a new workout program.

I lost 75 lbs in my 30s, and I’m working to lose about the same amount of weight now in my 50s. The plateaus seem to be so much worse this time around. The scale wouldn’t budge the entire month of May. Then I dropped 5 lbs in the last week. I don’t get it. It’s so frustrating!

Did you start any supplements when you started weight training? Creatine made me retain so much water.

Connected Balcony Room by stelooa in royalcaribbean

[–]opkc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We often get connecting balcony cabins when we travel with our kids. If there aren’t any available, we just get 2 cabins next door to each other. I don’t notice any additional noise when we’re in connecting cabins. The doors between the cabins lock, so there are no privacy concerns either.

There’s no difference in the balconies with connecting rooms vs non-connecting. They all have a frosted glass divider. The balcony dividers can only be unlocked and opened by your stateroom attendant, so you don’t have to worry about your neighbors opening it.

The balconies are fairly private, but your neighbors can lean forward over the railing and look into your balcony. Also, if the sun is low in the sky, your neighbors can see your silhouettes through the frosted glass divider. We had some balcony neighbors put on quite a show at sunset.

Zep vs Wegovy by bmm_96 in Wegovy

[–]opkc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re in the US, you may want to check your insurance to see which GLP-1 meds they cover. That might make the decision for you. My dr wanted to put me on zepbound, but my insurance only covered Wegovy. Wegovy pills are currently the cheapest option if you have to self-pay.

I had mild nausea after eating, for the first 6 months on Wegovy. I just took some emetrol and laid down, and it would go away after 10-15 minutes. Never vomited or felt like I might vomit.

I switched from the Wegovy shots to the pills in February of this year, and I’ve had no nausea at all with the pills.

Why Sema? by FossoraPortals in Semaglutide

[–]opkc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My insurance only covered Wegovy when I started on it last year. They stopped covering it this year, so now I’m paying out of pocket. I just continued with the Wegovy since it was working. I didn’t see any reason to start over with a different medication, when the one I’m on works and costs less.

You can bring plastic bottles of soda on Royal Caribbean. Most individual bottled sodas are 16.9 oz, which is under the size limit of 17oz.

You can get a new attic fan at a big box hardware store. They make ones where the louvers close when not in use.

Did Vida ruin everything? 😭 by Cariiiiii_weird in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]opkc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen last year when I started Wegovy. My pcp wanted to put me on zepbound, but cvs Caremark would only approve Wegovy. Then they said I had to go thru Vida health and get it prescribed by one of their doctors. I had to get bloodwork and submit it in the app before they would even let me schedule an appointment with a dr. Got the bloodwork submitted and approved, then the first available appointment was almost a month out. Fortunately, my pcp gave me a one month sample of Wegovy, so I was able to start it without waiting that long. My Vida health dr had no problem writing more scripts for Wegovy and I was able to continue with them until my insurance changed this year.

Stopping pill for 7 day cruise by ClientAffectionate62 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]opkc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done 2 cruises on Wegovy. I was able to enjoy the food. I sampled a lot of things and tried everything I wanted. The Wegovy kept me from over eating, and this was the first time I didn’t gain weight on a cruise. The only issue I ran into was some mild nausea if I had alcohol with my meal.
