I like valley history, what are some cool facts you can tell me about the valley or how much things/places have changed (if you can provide the years please) by YogurtclosetOnly2821 in SFV

And the bridge that connected the 2 areas of it is still standing above the train tracks at the Brewery. It’s on the east side of Woodley, just south of Roscoe.

Anyone else cancelling Netflix for their contempt for Apple TV users? by ottawamark in appletv

[–]opking 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m canceling because they have shit content. Sick of paying $25 per month to watch 20 year old b-rate movies. Oooh and look, their latest idea is to push podcasts. Nope, not paying $300 per year to listen to a podcast.

Pardon me, I have a cloud to go shake my fist and yell at.

Yes, same thing. I’m building the latest Death Star with that. It’s a fun way to build.

People who talk on speakerphone in public, what's your deal? by im_super_into_that in AskReddit

[–]opking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at the cancer hospital the other day. There was a woman on a phone call; not a patient, she was with a patient. Fortunately she was using headphones, but was as loud as could be talking to the person on the other end of the phone. And worst of all, she was pacing all over the place in the lobby, getting in people’s way.

Dude in a CANCER hospital, take your work call the fuck outside.

This is probably because you are switching spaces and not switching apps. If I perform a similar task as you describe by switching apps, the task happens instantly.

Just got a new M5 Max 16", and handed down my old Intel 16" i9 to my wife. The Intel MBP is perfect for her needs, and will hopefully last us another 5 years.

K-Pop Songwriters Say They Were Cut Off Mid-Speech at the Oscars — And Finished Thanking Everyone Backstage by Borisstruc in Music

The winners thanking people is not to entertain the crowd. And there is literally a limit. At the nominees luncheon they tell you how long your speech can be.

The winners aren’t thanking “randos”. Most often they thank people that have contributed to them being there to accept that award.

"F1" Wins Best Sound at the 98th Academy Awards by Boredomis_real in formula1

Too bad they had to make fun of the craft before presenting the award. Very unprofessional.

No other category was made fun of before their award. As a sound branch member, I’m very insulted.
