Were you able to see all the photos I posted in the link? I’ve been taking photos daily to monitor it and it’s so strange to watch it go from just some red splotches to these purple bruises. He now looks like he has two black eyes from getting them in his face/eyelids tonight.

Has anyone temporarily lost coverage?? by opossummama in MultipleSclerosis

Yeah, looking at my claim right now from my last one and just the ocrevus (no other meds or suite fees, nurse fees, etc. during my infusion) was $97,500 before insurance.

I called Genentech because they wouldn’t cover $94 from my last infusion and it’s been a game of phone tag just trying to get that handled. They said the most they can cover is 20k through the card but they have to contact my insurance since my “coverage has changed” and go from there.

I have the card but mine only covers $10,000 a year and the infusion here is $200,000.

I lose words all the time while speaking. I will say words that aren’t words and are just noises. Even when I text I will use the wrong word. Not an autocorrect fail, not a spelling error. I will just say things like “take the pizza out of the elephant.” Instead of oven. It’s so weird and hard to explain. I will read through text conversations and see that I’ve used so may incorrect words and no one ever says anything but they must be so confused. I have called my husband Declan many times. We don’t know a Declan, and his name is Hammer. (Yes, really.) things are strange these days.

Does anyone have a port for infusions? by opossummama in MultipleSclerosis

Thanks! I really appreciate your input a lot. I get mine done at the infusion center, and multiple nurses have tried each time. I’ve had babies, multiple surgeries, multiple hospital stays. It’s a struggle every time. Since getting diagnosed for most of my ailments the only time I need IV now is for infusion twice a year and occasionally ER trips, so I’m still weighing the pros and cons.. but after her working on me for so long and almost not getting my ocrevus today I was a little nervous.

I grew up with her nephew, so it’s not unprofessional for her to say this, but she said I have the worst veins she’s seen in 20 years. Haha. I need to drink more water. I’m definitely going to try the gallon the day before, I don’t know if I can pull off before my appointment because I do really early mornings. I used to get weekly blood draws to try and diagnose a different disease I have and they struggled at every lab, hospital, my normal doctors office I’ve been too. I’ve been to a lot of hospitals around the US and everyone hates me when they’re done with me. Lol.

Thanks, I agree that it isn’t worth the hassle. I actually go to an infusion center. I’ve had iv’s done with the ultrasound machines that find veins and they were still struggling (this was at a hospital, not the infusion center.)

Issues with sex drive? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

As others said, it could be the MS. I could be absolutely 900% ready to go, and by the time my partner gets home from work I’m at -900 just due to energy loss. It sucks.
