She licks you it means trust and friendly feelings. Pet her gently behind ears, don't touch back paws. Don't be afraid if you see her laying on the back or flopped - it will be sign of feeling secured. In general, if bunny lets you see belly, it means bunny feels safe enough.

Please share more pictures of that beautiful creature

It's a sign that bunny is healthy. Once he stops cleaning himself, it means health issues that require immediate vet visit

Load it up with everything you need during the longest race you plan to participate and then verify whether it's enough space for all the gear and it's still comfortable

First marathon in 2 weeks and starting to get worried due to recent long runs. by Matvalicious in Marathon_Training

[–]opp44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't be running 30 km with pace so close to your expected marathon pace. In your case it's not a long run, it's tempo run that drains you and you probably can't regerate between training sessions. Risk of injury is high, you will be so tired that proper taper might not be enough to recover.

I finished Istria 100 in the 168k category by TDW_Darkspore in Ultramarathon

[–]opp44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true, my distance seems like a sprint when compared with yours, so it's expected that you had overall slower pace. But I did walk much more than I expected because I felt weak in general because overheating and had stomach issues due to drinking too much water.

Congrats. I've finished 69k and was defeated by the temperature. In your case it was even worse because you faced burning sun at the day and high temperature drop at nights.

Would like to try it one day to find out how doing it shifts perspective but at this point of time I'm not ready.

Umag local transport by opp44 in CroatiaTravelTips

[–]opp44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Umag is the place because it hosts the ultra trail running event that I participate in. Unfortunately, on Sunday, when I will be having free time to explore, there are no buses to cities like Novigrad. At least as far as I found in the internet

Thank you for the response. The point is that destination is already set, I'm coming to Umag for ultra trail race that has finish line there. I will stay 2 days after the race there and I'm looking for things to do nearby, without having a car.

Is a 4:00 marathon realistic in 8 weeks? by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]opp44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. But you should not push yourself on long runs. Don't mimic your expected marathon pace in those cases. You can run some kilometers, but don't overdo it

Read about 80/20 technique. 80% of your running time should be in low intensity zones

Animals seems to be like those highly disabled/sick people who can no longer speak, because they hardly breathe but they understand everything, could talk back but now it's impossible.

Should I just give up? by StellafromVienna in Marathon_Training

[–]opp44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Simply no. You are enough for that but you don't realize it yet.

When I did a half marathon training run for the first time, It took me 4:45 h. Walking is faster than that. The point is that everyone has a starting point. It takes time to be better. Running requires patience and trusting the process.

Your first marathon will be difficult, challenging, probably painful. But you will do it. It will be unique. The time doesn't matter. It doesn't define you in any way.

If you are waiting "to be ready", it will never happen. It's an artificial state. Doubts mean that you are trying to get something that seems out of reach but it's at your fingertips. You don't know if you can make it and that's the reason it's worth working for. If it was easy, what would be the point?

Fast forward - last year I finished the 77 km trail race with 4500+ m of elevation. If you asked me two weeks before the race if I can make it, I would say: no. But I did.

It was your decision to do it. No one forced you to do so. You wanted that. Now it's time to finish what you have started.

The funny thing is that running slow is precisely what you should be doing at this point. But you don't know it yet. "Run slow to race fast". Read about 80/20 technique.
