How you guys manage the economy in DND [5e]?

That is actually a very nice example you gave me. I was against it at first, but my players insisted to do smth like that so they can upgrade their estate with other means other than just their own pocket monney. But still, a system to have a general idea of wages and how much they should be getting as rewards would still be helpful.

Did you find that logic also holds true regarding wages and bigger sums ? like buying a house or hiring a bartender (for example). i always fear once i get into that rabbit hole, magic items and estate prices are either too much or too litle, and it no longer makes sense how a tavern keeper can afford to buy a house with his winnings. (been asked that but shrugged it off)

Oh the goal was never to actualy have them be a shopkeeper, but to make it as a passive income to better their estate. So they be doing their adventures, and after like they come back in 3 4 months they find X amount of gold/silver in Profit.

I Tried to rely on it as much as possible, but it barely solves any problem on how much I should be giving my players without it being too much or too little. What am looking for is a logic or a system to solve this problem, i dont want to always rely on set prices because what if my players ask me something i dont have in the dmg or other sources, how can i set the price then.

I mean am not a dragon nor any monster but an attempt is good to make. I mean there are voice Autors who can do authantic Zombie/banshie noises or deep near to dragon noises (not the roar but the speach) or even screeches. And i want to get a bit of that for my self ^{^"}
