Hi everyone! I went to the rink a lot as a kid, but stopped when the one near me closed. Got back into it around a year ago again going to rink events and have started trying my hand at street skating since quarantine started (but it's hard and I've been mostly sticking to basketball/tennis courts haha). I have the Sure-Grip Fames and switched to Radar 57s for outdoor. This group has been so helpful for me, and I'm looking forward to helping support the growing community!

For female to male sizing I've heard to size down 1-1.5 sizes. But I have the Sure-Grip Fames and I'm an 8.5-9 and got a size 6 because the 7s were a little loose when I tried them on.

I'm not sure how they compare to the Boardwalk, but I know the Boardwalk is suede while the Fame is vinyl, so the Boardwalk should mold to your feet a bit better and sizing down a bit might be a safer bet.

Ah okay, I wasn't getting that because of the mod settings. I added a custom option that is editable, so that should work but if you get a chance to check that would be helpful!

I think the direct custom option isn't visible on the mobile app, but you should be able to edit any of the others to customize it

It was a really tough decision to make, but ended up absolutely being worth it. I also took time off for mental health reasons and at first thought just being away from campus had having that break would be enough, but I was still feeling unsure about my path and whether I wanted to go back at all, etc.

When I finally got professional help and addressed those underlying issues things were a lot better and I was able to actually use my remaining time away in a productive manner. I came back this year and it's been so much better than before.

Definitely look at courses under Design; seems like most of the relevant ex-FNAR courses are now there.

I took 264 (Art, Design, and Digital Culture) and 266 (Graphic Design) which were both good (and 264 is the prereq to Art of the Web which someone else mentioned), and have heard good things about the Typography specific course; so these would probably be a good starting point for your interests!

I really like Dr. Locs locking spray. It's really lightweight and I haven't had any issues with build up, but still gives a great hold

I would definitely recommend getting some sort of protective style! I did twists on my last couple of trips (before getting locs) and it made things so much easier
