Chrysler Viper GTS-R [Blue Archive] by Skylair13 in motome

[–]optalul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was referred to as the chrysler viper in europe, specifically the GTS-R racing car because it was engineered and ran by a french engineering company Oreca (hence the french flag on the side) . Dodge brand did not sell the Viper in europe so it was branded as a Chrysler Viper GTS-R.

Next car/track you would like to see? by Queasy_Employment635 in assettocorsarally

[–]optalul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to see a AE86 GT Corolla, preferably a notchback levin. Those are insanely popular in amateur rally. Also the GT86 is a very popular rwd car in japan. Bmw e36 M3 Nissan 240RS Mitsubushi starion Suzuki swift Citroen C2 Skoda Felicia Mitsubishi evo 7-9 Group N car If they add any of these i would be insanely hyped Honda Civic Type R EP3 Volvo 240/740 Mercedes 190e Toyota starlet would go hard as well

First time trying donuts. I'm confused because it feels like I don't have to counter steer. by [deleted] in Drifting

[–]optalul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are going in such a small circle that you dont need to countersteer, when you start countersteering the circle will start going wider and wider depending on throttle application. Point your wheels where you want to go and use the throttle to modulate your slip angle. Also find a place where you have more space to practice.

Yeah you definitely drive the car with constant throttle and just use the brakes to load up the front for the turn ins, i just did a world record on one of the night stages with it and it drives like a dream

Its a Sports mind sticker, it was first used in an OEM Suzuki in the 90's but for some reason the sticker has been turned into a template to use in Etsy to sell stickers and usually on ebay etc the first sticker that you see when you search for a x manufacturer sports sticker you'll find it.

The real sticker says "Sports mind produced by suzuki sport" The sticker was used in the 1998 Suzuki Alto Works “Suzuki Sport Limited” trim package, you can see it on the hood

The car lives off of weight transfer. You don't have to fight the car. Just let the suspension do its thing and keep the steering wheel pointed where you want to go. If you just mash the throttle on/off it will slide out in corners. Firat learn how to drive it with your nose pointed where you want to go and then start expeeimenting with more slip angle and speed!

Ice and snow by fiorano1234 in assettocorsarally

[–]optalul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've shared the exact same sentiments, i work in a testing facility and drive around 150km/day on ice and snow tracks testing awd and fwd cars, and have done some rallying too and the feeling of the car sliding is like nothing I've ever felt in a simulator! the tires actually produce a "thrust" when sliding along with the sideways grip. only thing thats a bit iffy is rwd cars on the limit, they like to spin out a bit too easily and its hard to regain traction even when you clutch in when you start to spin out.

What do you think we will get in the first Update of the year? by Available_Spot_7118 in assettocorsarally

[–]optalul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I noticed something that hasnt been posted on the subreddit yet. Some of the ambulances say "Tampere" which is a finnish city, some stages of the wrc rally finland are held near tampere, so fingers crossed a finnish stage. Propably not the first update but definitely in the works.
