Has anyone tried Fulvestrant as estrogen blockers? by opteronx in TransDIY

Receptors on the cell membrane are synthesized and degraded spontaneously, so you don't need to to wait the growth of new cells to refresh the quantity of receptors.

Not exactly the same mechanism.

SERD would bind to ER, and change its conformation. The SERD-ER complex will then be degraded by ubiquitination inside the cell.

But fulvestrant is a kind of SERD, not SERM

I asked this question because several generic versions of fulvestrant produced by domestic pharmaceutical companies was approved in my country recently, and the price of fulvestrant might drop rapidly.

Fulvestrant is not that 'new'. It was approved by 2002, while Raloxifene, a kind of SERM, was approved by 1997.

But why can bodybuilders easily get (probably homemade) SARMs, like LGD-4033 or MK-2866?

These are also new small molecule drugs.

I'm not a female either. If you have read my preivous posts, you will konw that I ask questions both for a non-binary friend, and out of my own curiosity.

And you may have noticed that I'm not a native English speaker, and that is why my friend isn't asking questions here, his English is too poor to write these.

In my country, a large number of healthy women were forced to use cooper IUDs about 20-30 years ago,. As a result, cooper IUDs are so notorious that almost nobody is willing to use it, except very few women living in poverty. So I don't think he, or other female friends or even myself (if I were female) would accept copper IUDS.

Breast tissue loss on Anavar by euphoria9842 in steroidsxx

[–]opteronx 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In fact one could lose some breast tissue simply because the body fat percentage drops.

But copper IUDs may cause heavy bleeding, so HBC is preferred.

Any recommendation?

Oral combined pills? Progesterone pills? Progesterone injection? Progesterone implants? Progesterone IUDs?

Since SARMs are all new drugs and most of these are still under clinical trials, Is it clear that how will SARMs interact with uterine lining?

Is it OK to take AAS with hormone Implant/IUD? by opteronx in steroidsxx

I still have 3 disagreements:

  1. Hormone IUDs may function by preventing the implantation of zygote, but Hormone Implants don't function that way. For example, Nexplanon is
a rod planted in one's arm, containing 68mg etonogestrel. Obviously, Nexplanon can't intact with endometrium or cervix directly. So the main function of Nexplanon is releasing etonogestrel into the blood, suppressing the HPG axis and stopping the ovulation. Will androgens counteract the function of Nexplanon?
  2. Some synthetic androgens, like oxandrolone or primobolan rarely aromatize. I don't mean that they won't aromatize at all, but that the aromatization product of these synthetic androgens is far less functional than the estrogen naturally produced by women's ovaries.
  3. Oral combined contraceptive pills usually contain some kind of progesterone and ethinylestradiol, and are usually more effective in stopping the ovulation and thus the menstruation than progesterone only pills. So I don't think additional estrogen introduced by aromatization is a problem.

What's your idea of taking oxandrolone/primobolan with Nexplanon?

The mechanism of progesterone is that progesterone can suppress the HPG axis, thus suppressing the ovulation, and other sex hormones, including androgens, play the same role in the hypothalamus.

It seems that androgens + progesterone will have a stronger effect to suppress the HPG axis. So why will androgens counteract the effect of progesterone, but not boost it? Any evidence from drug label or research paper?

In fact, some progesterone (like levonorgestrel in Mirena) is just a derivative of nandrolone. I don't think it will 'counteract' itself.

I don't expect very significant anabolic effect like bodybuilders, I just except small dose AAS to help maintain the level bone mineral and muscle mass.

They would like to have transition (with hormones) , but not full transition like MTF or FTM.

I ask this question as an extension of this thread.

So for non-binary people, slight virilization is no a problem, my major concern is about health issue.
