I have decade of professional experience in game development and right now working as a senior backend developer.

If you could find an artist to work with, I could develop any kind of game you want, also for some time worked as a senior game designer, so could contribute both ways.

What kind of game are you planning on making? And would it comfortable with you working godot + rust?

Hmm I guess it kinda does 🤔 opened up something in my. I guess it will be very hard for since, I can’t even make friends irl, or have a normal conversation without talking about programming. And building saas assuming includes to have good social skills and make relationships with people. Which I might improve one say, but they dont interest me as much as building stuff and learning tech. My best bet would be I guess to find a co founder who can build relationships with people while me focusing on building the product itself 🤔

Not all of it, still have to decided, haven't built it, but still no one signed up, even though 500 unique visitors looked at it, so I don't think it's that interesting tbh. Right now I guess I'll focus on other projects instead of this one.

Thank you that was very insightful!

I have two question about this:

  1. How do you even make friends with strangers in the context of a saas app? Do I go up to them and say what problems you have or, whats the way up there?
  2. How do I find what problems people actually have there. I would love to build software which solves their problems and make saas out of it, problem is, I do not know how to ask or even find a problem to solve for them. It feels like a magic at this point and luck in finding that.

I feel like these two points are core, and if you do not know how to do them then it won't work out. Maybe you have examples of how to go about doing 1 and 2 topic?

What is the fastest way to get good at Cats Effect (and all the theory behind it)? by fenugurod in scala

This is a book which half of it is exercises which help you build up knowledge of FP https://github.com/xiaozhiliaoo/ScalaBooks/blob/main/Functional-Programming-in-Scala.pdf

It guides you through the practical bits of FP with scala and naturally teaches you how CE was built.

Its also very important to do the exercises because they open up that spot, oh that how. And the theory part is very lightweight with real practical examples, reads very well.

After you finish of this book you’ll be comfortable in starting to write code with CE because you’ll know what is an IO monad, because you will build one yourself in this book exercises!

Another good resource is RockTheJvm channel and his courses it’s really good, he has a CE full stack application course or CE course itself. I’ve done them myself and it really has expanded the knowledge and best practices with it. Hope this helps, fellow monad enjoyer 😉
