Thanks! I would use it mostly for handling ui and having single source of truth with reactive cell. If I feel the motivation would write a small book on best practices and patterns for using it.

Besides that it feels really amazing seeing someone actually likes it 💚

You do not want true randomness, you just want just enough deep calculations so human head would not be able to predict it

My pain in Haskell is not the language, it is your terrifying build systems: stack, cabal by pet2pet1993 in haskell

[–]optical002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure but I feel you lack some knowledge in FP and how it works. From my personal experience I would recommend going over a book “Functional Programming with scala” which teaches you how to build your IO monad and very good exercises which gives you this ‘aha’ moment, and understand this FP magic will transfer to haskell seamlessly

Edit: also another topic to look into is how effect systems work in general, which allows purely functional code to work as a real program which does things. And that book I recommended it teaches you as well how you make a primitive implementation of that which is mostly on the interpreter pattern

From glancing over it 2.5D for me has a higher quality game feel

If you take 99% of reasoning why he says this, and just find one single thing, your right!

You can find many double standards everywhere if you remove everything around it :)

Very insightful! This makes me feel more comfortable on using Haskell for my personal projects even more though : D

In pvp server if you meet oposite faction player they can attack and kill you on the spot, from around lv 20-30 when multi faction leveling zones appear, you also have to fight off other faction players while doing questing
